    Lightbulb Nelson lending/swap library

Orright, I have various motorsickle books & vids that I'm prepared to loan out, especially if it means I can borrow stuff from other people in return. Feel free to list stuff you're prepared to loan; if you would like to borrow something, contact the person directly (email or pm).

    Books:

    • "A Twist of the Wrist: The Motorcycle Roadracers Handbook" by Keith Code
    • "A Twist of the Wrist 2: The Basics of High-Performance Motorcycle Riding" by Keith Code
    • "The Soft Science of Roadracing Motorcycles: The Technical Procedures and Workbook for Roadracing Motorcycles" by Keith Code
    • "Sportbike Performance Handbook" by Kevin Cameron
    • "The Last Hurrah: From Beijing to Arnhem 2005" by Des Molloy
    • "Jupiter's Travels" by Ted Simon
    • "Riding High" by Ted Simon
    • "The Perfect Vehicle" by Melissa Holbrook Pierson
    • "Barry Sheene: 1950-2003 The Biography" by Stuart Barker
    • "You Don't Know the Half of It: Aaron Slight, The Autobiography"

    Fillums:

    • "Desert Riders: The Heart of the Sahara by Motorcycle" by Chris Scott
    • Several DVDs from Trail Bike Adventure Magazine
    • "On Any Sunday"
    • "Peking To Paris" A 14,000km journey to re-enact one of the world's great overland adventures - the most daring car race of all. [including a 3-wheel bike ridden by Mick Matheson (Aussie bike journo) and his Dad; this was on the centenary of the first long-distance motorsport race, in restored original vehicles...]
    • "The Last Hurrah: From Beijing to Arnhem 2005" by Des Molloy
    • Various grand prix and road-race reviews & whatnot.
    • "A Twist of the Wrist: The Video" by Keith Code

    Others:

    • Various handouts from trail ride coaching sessions, including reprinted KiwiRider skills articles
    • A handful of "how to" articles and feature magazines from dirt bike magazines
    • Various suspension tuning articles

There's more, I'll edit this post later.
    Cheers,
    Colin

If all goes to plan J and I will be passing by in close proximity on Friday, I'll have to pop in for a cuppa or something and will bring the DSR Techniques DVD with me if ya like.

Hook me up James, mmmmm, Travis Pastrana, mmmmm Race to Dakar, nuthin quite like watching Charley Boorman falling off and his Aussie mate finishing.
I've got the 2007 Australian Safari DVD, and some sick GhostRider DVD's, and some roadie stunting, the sort of thing that would make your mum cringe.

I knew I'd seen a library thread here somewhere

I am reading a book by some guy called Glen Heggstad about his trip into South America , riding a KLR of all things
MrsJ will probly want to scan through it after me but, I'm happy for others to have a read after that.
Also.... got a couple of Motorbikin motion picture productions, Maddigan Line and Coast to Coast.

Saw that at Page & Blackmoores (If our public library had half the books that shop carries I'd spend more time reading). Intriguing stuff. He's also been on aTV shouldn'tbe alive or sumting show.

I might take you guys up on borrowing some books this winter.
What I would love to see is some old time dakar movies (like Dust to glory type) There aresome epic tales to be told in long races like this. I have watched theold BMW 3 parter one on you tube which is cool.

    Oooooh looksie... looks interesting...
i watched the motobiking Madigan line dvd last nite - Frick me Tug boat & farmer Phil are hard bastards. If they're saying it was hard then you can believe them. Those Drs were bloody thrashed after the end of it.
I also watched the coast to coast which wasn't as good as due to the limited amount of filming time.

Also watched my fav character Charlie doing the dakar... again... for the 4th time...

we may have to pass a few to Rigley to pass the time between lagers.

WW I wouldn't mind borrowing that peking to paris dvd & giving that a go.
