    Woodcocks has been re-sealed...

Was up that way today. Been re-sealed from the bottom of the hill to the top and back down. Gravel is pretty deep in places.

If you pay attention to the signs you'll be right. Might pay to take another road until they sweep it.

Must admit it was getting a little patchy but this looks like the same cheap shit seal they've been patching 16 with so it'll be melting nicely over summer.

People will be injured or die from that shit but they can chuck $58 million at traffic flow lights for the on ramps.

Bugger. Now if the UNSEALED it, that would be awesome. It was a really good road before they sealed it. Insert customary rant about the inqiuities of sealing all the bloody roads. Gravel is GOOD for you.

I am guessing this is the road between Warkworth and Ahuroa, and the hill mentioned is just before you get to Ahuroa?

If it is then it's a dammned shame it is sealed. I used to work over that way many years on a dairy farm, and on numerous occasions would be goin over that hill too fast to be safe...but man was it fun!

Must admit the thought did cross my mind that I wouldn't be swearing as much if I was on a motard.

Took that road home yesterday and was very disappointed. However, I took it as an opportunity to slide the motard around for a few kms. Not too bad!
