Right got my puncture all sorted out at Drury tyres (good bunch that!) - will be seeing them soon enough again since Big Ol'Hornet demands another set of rubber soon!

Mmmm ... strawberry fields making strawberry ice cream ... forever soon!

thanks for the compass ride guys. awesome nighttime riding. i had a tv-advert-appropriate soundtrack running through my head as our headlights dipped and danced along the twisties in pitch darkness;air smelling of fresh poo, suicidal bunnies running amok and signs selling horse manure for $5. ah.

    Thumbs up Newbie here

Fellas, I'm keen to join up for a ride on my wee 250, still on an L Plate though. Does the ride finish in time for me to be home by 10pm?

Yep it sure will, and if it looks like you are coming close to turning into a pumpkin we will shoo you on your merry way!

This would be a perfect opportunity to ride in a group safely whilst navigating the traps of urban riding And of course meeting and greeting fellow two wheeled enthusiasts!

Once my exams are over I might have to join ya's for a pootle.

Although my 6L licence means I have a 10pm curfew, or not...

TOTO you are impressing me mightily with your pootling, in fact I'm jealous! (gosh, now I know how everyone feels when I pootle off like that! )

Good effort and its good to see everyone getting out and about and doing it sensibly

I'll be doing more night rides for those who need more experience at a pace that enables them to learn safely. I'll make sure they won't be too long and finish early (gasp! I know that people will say "it can't be done with that guy at the helm!")

After all, I can always keep riding after all is said and done!

Twas a great night boys and girls... i got home just before 3am... so not bad!
in those few hours, i saw three hedgehogs, one frog, two bunnies... one of which, someone who has already named themselves forgot they were riding and went into camo hunting mode and chased down a bunny by weaving after it all over the road!!! haha.. so one live bunny was added to the road kills that GIJOE kept pointing out. And also saw one live possum play dead... hilarious! It say down, rolled onto its side then jumped back up again!!!

And another good ride today guys, but the problem is that i have been so many places this week they are all a blur in my head, and not sure how to get to them all again... which will mean more riding for you to show them to me (but with more time between them so i have time to re-visit them)

Another problem: ride was cancelled for tomorrow sun 23rd... which will cause a break in my riding spell.... i hope someone wants to ride to somewhere! Does not need to be too long, happy with a short afternoon ride, anyone keen? please please please, with a cherry on top!

Im now confident i can get out to wellsford on 16... but getting back and getting all teh intersections is another story. so maybe that could be the route... so that i do it again while its fresh and i can now take particular notice of the return trip

I sense a disturbance in the riding force ...

I intend to have a wee ride out on Sunday arvo and contrary to popular expectations, I will make it short! As stated, a cruisy pootle through the delightful back blocks of mein stomping grounds!

BP Takanini at 2.30pm is the goer. I will be filling up and leaving from there!

1100km left on the rear tyre ... any excuse for a ride! (and no, it won't be a 1100km ride! )

    Where's BP Takanini?
Motorcycling is like life - it's about the journey, not the destination.
