    Ooops, nearly forgot...

Today was my wedding anniversary and yes in typical male fashion forgot, got a bit carried away with things I guess...no room on the mighty TTR for flowers either...

    Hi Carey,
Thanks to you and Paula and helpers for an awesome weekend - really appreciate all the trouble of carting all the food and drink, etc, all that way.

    Talking Sweeeet weekend

Well it took a bit of doing but it was well worth the effort. The weather was perfect and went almost to plan. Had to put a bit of thought into what had to be taken with amount of food, beer etc. Think we got it almost right.

We had a couple of late comers and Iain joined us for the trip to Coromandel township.

Below is the fully loaded ute and trailer (cheers Andy)

Had quite a slow drive up and found a good spot to set up base camp at Fletchers Bay.

On the way from FB to meet all at Kopu Saturday morning. Andy on the 1100

Brent, Karen & Dino were heading direct to FB while the rest of us were going via the Tapu-Coroglen road. This is a quick stop at the Coroglen Pub

Andy & Rosie in the shade

Dawn, Phil, Mike, Mark & Iain doing same

Bloody rush hour!! The newly named 'GUNNY' Corner...........

Into Coro and lunch stop at the Coromandel 'TUI' pub. Neal, Rob, Matt, Andy

Then it was the last leg to FB. Rosie at turn off to FB.

    More to follow............
    Going away, busy?

Cary, our expressions of gratitude are no exaggeration; it is most certainly not just flattery. A mighty effort from you, great riding, fabulous scenery, and a whole bunch of new friends for me.

My fishing at FB on Sunday morning was unsuccessful, but I did better down the coast on the way back.

Stopped in to watch the last of the polo at Clevedon late Sunday afternoon; listening to the sports bikes howling past on their ways home from the sealed Coro loop. And I thought, "Heh, heh, heh; let's hope they never find out what they're missing." A bit of selfishness goes a long way.

    Another great one

Thanks Cary, Paula and Andy for the Huge effort u put in to make this ride happen.

Weather and scenery was stunning and i had another great weekend.

Thanks also to the tyre team ( Cary - Andy & Neil ) for getting me mobile again so i could enjoy the rest of the ride on sunday morning.

Did the family thing in Coro on sunday afternoon and got home just before 5.00.

Took a few picks, will post them later.
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

I see Iain is still taking the "ugly" pills

By the by, I think you may find that the sheep was actually a wether and so any of the lads taking a proprietorial interest are automatically Honda riders
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.
