    My apologies.

Age, decay and excessive red wine is the only excuse I have.

OK, Neal, you've made me go and look it up now. (The following is from Wikipedia, so may not be correct...)

Anabatic is the wind that flows up the hill/mountain as the land warms faster than the sea, so occurs just after sunup.

Catabatic/katabatic is the one that flows downhill and usually at night, as the land cools faster than the sea.

It was therefore the catabatic one that tore the midget's tent at Stony so we had to go and sleep in the truck.

This "land warms and cools faster than the sea" bit is simply because there is so much more sea than land.

That makes sense and is about what I expected, thank you.

I think that the water actually has a higher specific heat than the land, so even on a per square meter basis the land fluctuates in temperature faster than the sea. Water is pretty weird stuff

I'm still matching up names to handles now hehe.

Gunnyrob, FYI The Mobil in Thames is on the main road where I was heading! Just by the roundabout!

....giggles like little school girl at CM's brain fart

She's right mate, my first cast off the rocks at F Bay saw $12 worth of hooks n line n sinker snarl up, never to be seen again. (which had Dino cacking himself with amusement)
And fatty spewed fuel out the overflow on the carbs as you tootled by on Sat morning.

Some of Karma's best work this week.

    What an awesome weekend!

I've been stuck at a wood drying conference for two days, so haven't been able to get onto the internet

After all the awesome gravel roads, the rest of my 'coro loop' was a bit of an anticlimax - too many cars who don't know how to use a slow vehicle bay
The road to hell is paved...
