    oops, change is afoot

Hey everyone please excuse bad english as murray and i have had a management meeting which largely consisted as drinking beer and talking shit - hat a great time!! anyone welcome in future!

Anyways as previously discussed doing kawhia this weekend seems like a slightly silly idea as we did it last weekend and we did the kawhia/otorohanga - waitomo route the weekend before so we have elected to change the route to something completely different.

Murray and i got together and had beers, talked shit and figured out a route

The plan consists of heading out melville via mstery creek to cambridge then passing through karapiro (via the dam - love it) to toatoaroa through hobbiton (lord of the rings) then back to 29 an down to matamata for gas/ refreshments then heading onto SH21 to SH29 over the kaimai's to tauranga where we will find a petrol station that has a toilet, after the re-fuel and de-fuel we head to rotorua via SH39 (one of my favourite roads) then onto hamurana road to SH33 to SH30 then turning left at Tarawera road to the blue lake where we can swim and chill out for a bit. Then we head through rotovegas to SH5 to SH36 and left onto oturoa road and basically a b-line to cambridge from off-trunk roads then to SH1B out of cambridge to the backroads (including telephone rd, puketaha rd and gordington rd) to hamilton its about 340km in total.

As always suggestion is sweet, but this looks like a good plan. have adjusted the calendar appt.
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=1783&day=2008-12-7&

    Also on the agenda:
14th of december - Annual Starship Hospital Teddy Bear Run:
http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/ca...ay=2008-12-14& - i am on this and i think its a cool idea.

21st of December - silentninja's coro loop - pack some water and a sense of humour.

27th-29th racing meets and stuff - i wont be there but a few will, good opportunity to support some of our local talent and have a good day out.

As for an xmas function for us (are we that serious???) who's coming to drinks this saturday night? show of hands please!!!

Looks like we may be a couple of riders short on Sunday. Daves just written off his new bike!!!! Car pulled out in front of him on River road. He's OK with a broken wrist being the worst of the damage!! Looks like Krissies the rider in the family now

best wishes dave and quick healing

    !!Insurance!!

Was just talking to Honda Riders Club because im going to join them to do some rider development days. (6th jan)

they said that they do insurance, so i asked for my bike (i have my learners) what they wood insure me for. they said with my GTR insured for 6000 that my premium would be $327 with a excess of $500.

obviously this would pay 6000 if i crashed. 5000 worth of riding gear. 1000 worth of keys and locks (incase you have chiped keys etc). and theft cover too.

also if you do there rider training days they take the course cost off your next years premium.

i thought it was a pretty good deal. http://www.hondaridersclub.co.nz/ if you want more info that is there wedsite
