Any plans for a ride yet today?

Wairoa's out for me, bit sore today after yesterday's ride on the new bus with the higher rear sets.

But what about a crazy high, insane speeds blast around HW50, Patangata?

Just kidding of course.......a sedate cruisy ride perhaps.

    Thanks for the info Chicky.

Aye Outlaw torn, come along mate. It is not a race and we will only be traveling at da 100 k. We will pick a meeting place and re group regularly. We will make sure someone stops at each turn off to guide the rest of the ride to the same destination. That is we will nominate a lead rider and they will stay in the lead. We will nominate a tail end Charlie and they stay at the back. Then the second rider stays at the turn off till the last bike comes past. Then they pass the tail and so it goes. The same bike stays at the back for whole ride. This system works well and no one should get lost.
Sounds freakin awesome mate, but I'll have to flag it.
Just not up to that sort of ride yet physically, as much as it pains me to admit it.
The Wairoa one a few weeks back was pretty well my limit for endurance on the hip.
Would definately be keen in January if all goes to plan.
    Might even bring the dragon.

By the sound of it we might all be better off having a wee lie down.....seems riding at speed for us more mature types is taking its toll on da bodies....not to mention the tires.....whats dis 'new bus wiff da higher rear sets' of which you speak young man.....have you been partaking of a wee bit of the retail therapy of late surely not another rider to succumb to the magnetic charms of Zuki ownership....... wait till you know who hears about this mind you....we did hear similiar murmurings at breakfast yesterday.....didn't we G.....but alas, my lips are sealed. all this frivolity is making me sleepy....might just go and have a lie down and think of next Sundays "Round the Great Lake Xmas Run" Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Naa.......not a Zuki mate.

Just another Trumpy, an oldy but a goody now I got it all back together.
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=87455

Performed well yesterday on its first voyage since back together.
    Felt just like a Jappa.
    Inline smooth 4cyl power.

I said to Rob at Patangata it felt like a Blackbird I used to ride years back.
    Top heavy, but so smooth.
Blackbird, I mean a bike not a dark chick.

Mind you would I be accepted into the Zuki fellowship with my SP370?

Fuckit I'm bored think I'll do a fast thrash to Tiko or somewhere.
Time to put some gas in the Duc!!

Yeah, can actually get flat footed on 1 for me which is a bonus.
Not a prob for yuse tall fullas eh.

Just got back from a dash to Tiko/Ypawa/Patangata/Middle Rd/Maraekakaho.
Awesome, only took 5 mins and never went over 100kph.
Ooops, went to 105 once but thought I'd get arrested so slowed down.

Second time this weekend no bikes at the Patangata. Did'nt stop just flew by.
In fact only saw 1 bike on the road.
    Most unusual for a Sunday.

The ride sounds great, count me in! New front tyre being fitted Thursday and I am going to change the fork oil at the same time so will be all good to go on Sunday. Wahoo!

Hi Jod, I think that they have been doing renovations of sorts....we had a lovely meal there 2 weeks ago and from memory it did look like they had recently changed things around a bit, especially between the Truckies Diner part and the general public side....its all been opened up into more or less one big diner. They did however go through a bad patch several years ago now.... where the food wasn't consistently good....but since we've been going back there for the last 12 months its been good and very reasonably priced....roll on Sunday morning.........anybody got a direct link to da weather gods....how bout a good word for sunday
