    I gotta ask.

    Why bother??

Cracks me up when I ride into work to find a bunch of 250's with chains through the back tyre and disc locks etc yet all the big bikes are left just with their steering locks on

If someone is going to take your bike they're going to take it. Get insurance for peace of mind. Anything else is more likely to result in damage to the bike during the attempt.

"Fuck it's got an alarm. Wanker. Lets scratch the fuck out of the tank before we run off"

    or

*CRUNCH* "Haha I just fucked up the front brakes au... Dick put a lock on or something.. Better leave it eh"

    HTFU already.

Your thread? Bwaaaaaaaaaaahahaha you haven't been on the interweb long have you newbie?

I think you'll find my post was aimed at saving you money both on the alarm and on repairing your bike after someone tries to steal it. I'd say that's constructive so obviously your reading comprehension could do with improvement.

I hope you don't have the same attitude when people try to help your learner butt ride properly........

I have to agree if someone really wants to steal my Hyobag good luck to them, that's what I pay insurance for.

    alarms

Bike alarms were all the rage in the late 80's,but a few problems surfaced with the ones with ignition cut.A few riders lost their lives when the module failed and cut the engine causing loss of control.I used to work in the city and have seen a harley put on the back of a truck and driven away---with alarm and indicators going off, but if you feel better with a alarm then good for you.

Please show me where I ridiculed anyone *before* *I* was told to fuck off.

It's my genuine opinion it's not worth the hassle and have heard of too many cases of people just damaging the bike then leaving.

And please don't tell me it's the bit about laughing at the mega secured 250's in the carpark at work. It's some funny shit when you see a GN or 250r all secured to the max in a bike park full of flash bikes with no security on them. I mean what would you steal? The GN or the R6...?
