Folks as I said and for those who missed it at Godley House, thanks for making tonight's ride a brilliant time, I was a tad nervous as to how this ride would go, so many new faces and I am not sorry if I offended anyone at BK when I said its not a race etc and impolitely offering the chance to leave, everyone made it to the pub and a few made it into town, no one missed out on a cold beer, just getting cold water was a little difficult.

Lets keep it to this standard for the rest of the season.

I anyone has route suggestions please post them up here.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

Suggestions for routes will be good and then we can organise setting them. It's been said by a few people that it would be great to know weeks in advance where we're going

Phoenix and I will sit down and just collaborate all the routes, number them and away we go. So we will call tonights ride #1. If we end up with about 5-6 routes, then we just start again from #1. We can also run reverse routes too

Hey I had an awesome time, especially meeting Homer, Pheonix, Fireliv and Dave. Many thanx to Jmemonic for the intro to the cruise itself and was not offended when you said if want to go fast or overtake on the corner, then FUCK OFF!!! . I thought it was well said and I enjoyed the cruise which is what its all about.
I was particularly impressed following behind MJ Scorpio who rode some nice lines for someone who is a learner
I was the guy who was parked beside your bike at the Godley House on your left.
Look forward to hook up next time so cheers guys and chicks.

Good ride, I had an awesome time. Didn't actually keep up with anybody, cos I had to keep stopping - the weather was just TOO GOOD. Can't pass up photo opportunities like that .

What an awesome ride. Everybody was so friendly. Apologies for those that were stuck behind me at my slow pace (Sorry Phil, JMemonic)

I'd like to take the opportunity to thank JMemonic for the pointers he gave me on the way there. I put it into practice on the way back and I spent far less time on the brakes, shifted down far less often and was generally far easier on my little VL. It was a smoother/quciker ride as well. Hopefully next time we meet I can show you how I've improved (with more practice).

I will make a point to have a drink with you guys next time at the destination. I had another appointment to go to afterwards this time.

I did take some photos but due to my poorly camera phone they werent flash at all.

You have nothing to applogise about. Its the Wednesday night cruise not the Wednesday night race. If you would like, you can follow along behing me next week, our bikes actually have similar ability, you might find the Suzuki to be a bit faster in the corners, your cornering was quite good you just have to pick the pace up a bit in the straights.

On another topic I am interested in doing the advanced riding course. I like the idea of doing it with Andrew Templeton (ex Wtn) but has anybody done the local Mainland course. What was it like?

Boy you are right about that. I took a mental decision to keep my visor down and during the ride i could see/hear bugs just hitting me dead center on the visor. Hate to think how i would have reacted with visor up.

I've done the Mainland advanced riding course, and I can totally recommend it to every biker, it's brilliant, and excellent value for money. Your insurer might even refund you the cost if you use the same one I do!

    done at timaru track, twice
recommend to all who have not been on a track.
only saying that because if youve been on the track i dont think you lll get the benifit of the course.
