    It seems to me that this thread has plenty emotive debate but stuff-all in the way of facts. Last time this emerged, I did a literature search and have attached what I found. At least there are solid facts even though the political outcome may not be influenced by them.

    same goes for gps. only time i wish id had one was in chch 07. 12 hours on the bike, and my map didnt show that the road i wanted to take to get to my hotel was one way... the way being opposite to the direction i wanted. but thats the only time ive wished for one. rest of the time im happier getting lost.

    You only need your second hand when changing gears or doing serious cornering...
