On the off chance does anyone know any tricks for getting the fly wheel off, other than a puller?

If there is some tapped holes in the flywheel a plate and slide hammer is your best option.

    ...are on holiday. Apparently.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

No, but if you need to deal with a wrecker, don't waste your time getting jerked around by the local dicks.
Victorian Motorcycle Wreckers in Ausie are bloody excellent.

    No, about the same.
    And on the positive side.
    1) Much quicker.
    2) Excellent stock.
    3) Not too lazy to get off their arse and check before saying no.
    4) Honest - i.e. they fuck it up (once only mind you) they simply sent the correct one no question.
    5) Easier to contact as they actually keep regular hours.
