Hey I'm 1500km over my service interval, but I'm still riding it! At least it wasn't as bad as last time ... 3000km over!

I keep booking them in advance and calculate what milage I do roughly to get there ... but it seems I somehow manage to cram more riding in somewhere before then!

However do you do it? i wonder...

Well it was just m'self and GIJoe tonight, so pootle onward we did. Stopping off for the obligatory Daikoku noodle house dinner, then on the dingle dale park (or is that dingle dangle? ), through the st helliers GP a few times, getting some pointers on my lines and smooth riding. Then onward to the secret shady establishment of blush for a slushy and a bit more chinwag before heading for home. A nice little evening pootle, and home before too late. Excellent

Badger8 did the easy yards with me tonight, I did the padawan thing and got him to brave his comfort zone a little more! Did blardy well an started to polish his cornering technique

He's already described the gist of the ride, so a nice and cruisy start for my re-introduction to the Hornet Swarm Night City rides again!

Oh yeah - he did have a go riding my Big Ol'Hornet around a wee bit! Just to get a taste of it mind!

Ooer, how could i forget! Was just a quick spin round the block, but was impressed with how smoothly she picks up speed. Will have to take her for a little pootle away from the confines of traffic and 5-minute traffic lights on queen st sometime

And you will be providing pics of said hottie as proof, yes?

Mentaz is manageable but not Tanpopo. Unless they finished working on bottom of Anzac Ave...

Well had a bit of a small trip around bike shops today with gijoe1313 after picking his bike up from a service, randomly met up with TOTO and I was firmly introduced with "The Hooligan".. I swear TOTO pops out of nowhere! But even through the helmet you can see his ear to ear smile from a days riding going on.

We had a look at some bikes but none took my fancy, I came home with intentions of having a look at a certain cherry red bike, with reservations, in the evening....

I am now happy to say that I have crumbled and have become a member of the swarm! A 2007 cherry red Honda Hornet 900! How can I fault this bike? For the price, I cannot! I had EVERY intention of going back to a sports bike but this bike.. it does everything. I pick the beaut up later this week and I absolutely can NOT wait.

I'm not sure if cherry red is the correct colour term, but that's what I thought of when I saw it! I will have to stop being a pussy and harden up on the ol' wind resistence though, but I think a small investment in a tiny screen is in the works!

    Woohoo!

Hopefully you chaps didn't meet up with a sneaky bike-snake who was praked up with his back wheel to the curb (between praked cars) on Nelson St last night.
His little laser doing the pointy-pointy thing...
Watched him go WHOOP WHOOP "pull over" to a psyclist, and then proceeded to give the lycra clad one a good talking to!
Ahh. Entertainment is where you find it.
