Even Grandpas can be Hoons...

Well, sometimes even I get tempted...

Very brief ride this morning to the gas station and back via Temple View and Collins Road...
Some gentleman on a well known American brand motorcycle took delight in sitting right behind me as I headed down Tuhikaramea Road towards Temple View at a stately 100km/hr as befits a venerable Grandpa like myself...slowed to 50km/hr to traverse the village - same dude right up the zorst pipe all the way through...
As we got to the open road other side of the village I decided to see what he was made of, so dropped down a coupla gears and cranked it...hehehe...my mate there disappeared in the rear view mirror within moments, thereby giving me my jollies for the day...

Then dropped back to 100 clicks, pulled over left and waved him through as he approached. He screamed past in a cloud of noise and disappeared post haste. Felt pretty good after that....ht. ht. ht....

Go Grandad!

Not that blowing "Those" bikes into the weeds is much of an acheivement.

There is an old joke going around about racing a harley, its neck and neck thru the twisties, but once the writer gets on the downhill straight, he finally manages to pull away from the Harley...mind you...he really had to pedal as hard as he could!

I started riding about 9months ago did the GN250 thing .Waved out to a guy I know on a Hardly he gave me the finger.a few days ago I sat next to him at tha lights ,let him see who it was let him go first ,followed him out of town passed him, let him catch up pulled away let him catch up pass,then passed him full tit gave him the finger left him for dead.I will never do somthing stupid like that again BUT it did feel good.

i dragged raced a Harley once - it was close. I don't ride the pushbike often any more though.

The Harley rider probably hoped plod was on duty... if he was, who would be laughing, more than the Harley rider already would have been. You were HIS radar detector.
But keep trying... we all need a laugh... and better luck next time.

I dragged a Suzuki once, help the guy pull it out of the creek, and back up the hill,

he was faster than me in a straight line, but through the twisties he couldn't shake my little ol Harley

My old man is a grandpa 3 times over now and not long ago he bought a sports bike - an SV1000...

it's ggod to see young people enjoying themselves. And the SV1000 is widely acknowledged an excellent bike for old men.

My RG50 beat 2 harleys on the makara road, they werent pleased when they found my bike was 1/26th the size of there bikes but saw the funny side. Even took it for a spin!
