Chumps like that should check out the side www.ride2die.com and see all the photos of people in there who came off without wearing the proper gear, many are just in shorts and t-shirts.

Perhaps that would knock a bit of sense into them before the road surface or another vehicle does.

Maybe we should encourage those inappropriately dressed to have low speed offs... there's no substitute for first hand experience and nothing works better than word of mouth aaaaaand if there's enough of them out there we'll be sorted by next summer...

    Nope

You can ony be talking about the registration costs of a bike and in the overall running costs of my bike the ACC component of the rego is a pittance.

In fact the total cost of registering all of my vehicles PLUS the earners levy on my salary is still cheap for 24/7 no-fault accident cover.

I don't think people really realise just what a good system we actually have.

Give them your jacket and gloves, why should you be the one most likely to cause there demise and be better protected?

Thats all good till I saw the pillion.....nothing but a summer light dress and a helmet. Now I REALLY wanted to walk up to her and slap her with my hand bag. Stupid #$%# it only takes a second to loose flesh on the road. She wasn't even hot!

Do Harleys go fast enough to cause damage in an off?

as a rider, 99% of the time i wear at the least rjays pants. lately ive ben riding in shorts due to getting a new tat finished, and the hassle and pain putting pants over the top of everything.

as a rider who sometimes carries a pillion, i WILL NOT allow susan near the bike without, at least, draggin jeans, leather jacket, gloves and helmet, and her old work boots. ive given her a pair of my old leather pants which she can choose to wear over jeans or not.

the acc levies are a PITA, but i think the best way would to force farmers on their farm bikes to wear helmets. same with dirt riders etc on beaches. they all get lumped in with us, which is what ultimately drives the levies up. the number of farmers, of all ages, i see riding on the shoulder of a 100k road is beyond belief... singlet, short shorts, gumboots. if we have to wear helmets, they should as well.

So there are two kids riding out the front daily, and along the road no helmet no gear nothing, stretch of road is 100km/hr and the two kids arent any older than intermediate by the looks. Both bikes are 50cc, and there is a 2 stroke not sure what size. Over the road is relatively safe providing there are no trains going past....but it only takes one wrong move....

Slap ye olde handbag at kids thy shant as kids will be kids.

If the worst case scenario happens then you can count on the fact she'll learn why some wear leather instead of lycra.

And by leather I'm not talking about dominatrixes........

I also need a slap, if im riding around town & its stinking hot I don't were much in the way of protective gear or even bother with ear plugs. Open road is another matter entirely!
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

The last one on that site, and the kneecap ones are the goriest.
Mebbie that army truck pic with a helmet on the front is the worst...

The smart ones will stay home that day, just in case. A very large percentage of the populace would get smacked in the face, but wouldn't know why.
