If your buggered why are you posting at midnight. You should be in bed all tucked up!!! Then again I watched the cricket through to the end - exciting finish!!

You can thank me for that exciting finish and the NZ win...'cause I did NOT watch...every time I DO watch they lose.....don' tell NZ Cricket....

Mr Rock..... From someone with a hand injury....
Swelling is the start of scar tissue. Scar tissue will render your hand inoperative.
If I was healing again I would go to any length to reduce that swelling. Most likely that would have been sleeping with my hand raised.
You better know re-mobilizing your hand is a depressing experience.
I am 4 months from date of injury, 2.5 months from splint off. I need to work my left hand (fingers) all the time to try and make a fist. This is only because scar tissue has formed in all joints and the only way to re-mobilize is through pain and persistence.
I have also lost a large portion of grip strength to both hands (left hand - complex fractures, right hand was dislocated and broken)
Grip strength on left/right hand was down to 10kg/15kg. Male adult should be ~30-50kg minimum. (I know someone with 90kg grip strength).
    Long long road to recovery.

Thats enough depressing talk. Likely to be picking up replacement bike tomorrow
Not sure how far I will be able to ride as left shoulder is not back to full strength.
Kiwibike Insurance have come up with the best price on insuring a '90 vintage machine so they will likely get my business.
