Then we would have plenty of Zuki bling things
Yes I have a bit more space now Steve, but hopefully my DR could keep me slightly onside with the Zuki fellowship, but alas my desires lie with Blighty.

Its a lonely ride here atm, (well, it was I should say, but now Gary's joined with his sweeeeet orange Speedy) but I feel another pom may be added to the stable, and perhaps another on here may be joining me in the brotherhood of the Union Jack.

Hi TonyW yep not 2bad a loop with various options as NZSarge pointed out
There are a few stopover points and quite a variation of contours
Gas is easy as you can get either end etc - Ypuk or Danevegas or even Pahiatua - the road thru to Nth Wairarapa is all sealed now as well
Could even have a graze at Akitio beach at the local

Well I couldn't get there for the racing but went one better & did the track day with Brian Bernard & Gareth Jones yesterday. Rain threatened & finally arrived about 2pm but by that stage everyone was knackered & happy to call it quits. Not my best day personally, think my rear tyre's a bit out of shape, kept letting go & one time quite spectacularly when Brian was following me, coming out of Dunlop. How I stayed on I have no idea! New set of tyres on the way but I think I've got some suspension adjustments required too, kept wanting to run really wide if I tried any decent corner speed. Anyone know someone around here who might be able to help?

Dooly, sorry to be a piker but looks at this stage that I might have to miss Taupo next Friday, wife is away for a few days & my youngest goes off on cub camp same day so I need to be at home to despatch him unless some miracle happens (like he decides he doesn't want to go, could still happen!!)

So just in case, I've registered with Kiwi Track Days on the Sunday as a fallback plan. Kiwi are better anyway, only 3 groups so more riding time so make a weekend of it Dooly & anyone else!

Have fun with your weekend ride this weekend, Paeroa or otherwise. I've got a mate down from Akld, Saturday will be a day in Napier for Art Deco but Sunday arvo could be the go if anyone's around.

    No worries.
My missus is away from the Thursday till Sunday that weekend too, so its riding for me.
I'll ask up if anyone else wants to share the pit then.

    Update: pitspace filled.

It's all good mate. I think Rob would make a better pathfinder, i'll just hold people up... Let us know if you're keen for one or two of us rowdy geezer's from down this way to join you guys when you get here, we'll see if we can lower the tone of the ride somewhat..

There is a shit load of good backroads to have a gawk at
    The Route 52 is worth a gamble - Porongahau-Wimbledon-Weber-Danevegas
You can even thro in Pongaroa -Pahiatua
    Yroa-Tiniroto-Gissy-Naps

This sounds like a good idea. So why dont you guys come up with a date and a plan and put something up on here and see if we can get this ride off the ground. Im sure there will be a good turn out and it will be good to meet all the new guys and gals.

It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

I might check the ride from Burger Fuel out this Sunday.

    Copy & paste from email...

BurgerFuel Napier & Five Star Suzuki

BurgerFuel and Five Star Suzuki invite you to

    "BIKE CLUB"

Sick of being a lone rider in the big wide world. Its much more fun doing it as a group. You usually pay more for that type of action.

On the last Sunday of every month we will be having a ride from Burgerfuel Napier. This event will start at 11am and go for as long as your fun pass allows.

Riders will get a discount for their lunch and cool spot prizes will be supplied by the sponsors. That's Burgerfuel and Five Star Suzuki for the slower ones among us.

So put on your chaps (pants compolsary people) and leathers and we will see you there.

    Where: BurgerFuel Napier

    70 Carlyle St Napier

When: Last Sunday of every month

    Next Ride: Sunday 22nd February

    Time: 11am

I hope to get in to this but Moo and I were busy for the first one and in Paeroa for this one. Maybe next month.

I am so looking forward to a blast to Paeroa. Been a while since I could point and go…………

Te Onepu Rd Hillclimb last Sunday

I see in the paper tonight, that a Brent Neilson of Hastings won this event with a time of 59.91 seconds on a ZX10 !

    Congratulations Brent.

Now I need some help from you guys here.
I was sure I did a much faster time than that, years ago in my car.
I referred to the HB Car Club history book and sure enough, on 17 October 1992, my time was 52.50 (FTD)

This is a 7.4 second discrepancy,...... an eon !

Something must be wrong here....any explanations?
