Think it was just the combined effect of a kick arse motorbike matched perfectly with my persona and style.

hi,thanks for the feedback!
so what did you pay?ive found that dealers have greatly varied prices!
the three prices ive found so far for a new 2009 klx250s are -$7595
$7995
$8495
note these all exclude on road costs.
should i ask my local dealer if they can match the lowest price ive found?and could i expect a discount for cash?thanks

Give the local Dealer dealer the chance to match the lowest quoted price 1st, as it is good to support your local shop and if you have any warranty issues further down the track you will already have built a relationship with the local dealer.

Cash will not get you any discounts nowdays

Failing that send a message to SCOTT411 on here as he owns the kawasaki dealership in pukekohe and is sure to do you a good deal

Yeah-amazing the increase since the dollar has gone to shit. $1,000 in less than 12 months!
I heard a rumour that the very latest models due later in the year will have EFi? That will see the price get close to $9000, Id guess.

Make that 6 months for $1000 increase - I paid $7495+ORC in mid October! Good for resale values though!

why would the klx need fuel injection?! its a small bike with small tank...

and yea, there's heaps of variation on price... guess its down to how lucky the dealer thinks he is...

I paid about $7500 in September for mine and managed to get things like a bashplate and radiator protectors pretty much at cost... so the higher prices are probably taking the mick. Although the dollars' low, stuff can't be shooting off the showroom floors, so I'm sure you'll do well by haggling a bit.

Can't ever remember them being below $7K?
I got mine for $7K with 90kms on the clock as a dealer 'demo'.
Saved $500 on 'new' price.
Possibly going for EFi due to the WR which is the same size with same size tank.

I did similar with 1200km on the clock. Ex demo, had pretty much just been worn in for me to avoid that 1000km below 4000rpm or whatever it is.

I will be selling mine in a few weeks, its done 5000km, very tidy, never been crashed or even dropped. All stock as the day she was born.
