    ride Report

Went for a ride to Big river today via Dovedale, Sunday Creek , Dry Weather Road, Porika, Braeburn, Maruia Pass and Westbank and then back the same way.

Big River is fantastic to ride, only wish I had more time to do a bit more exploring, but I was back in Reefton in 2 hours. Now know why they call it Big River, its because the road is one big river. Yes it rained but that just added to the fun and the scenery.(note to self : TAKE WET WEATHER GEAR)
Few good rivercrossings that were no problem as the rocks aren't slippery.

South side of the Porika is bloody hard work going up at the moment at the moment.

11 and a half hours and 630 kms is a big ride for me, you DB1K guys must feel knackered after one of those'

There are photos I will try AGAIN to upload them
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

These are pillion rides after all.
You'd better be carrying something on the back. If not a person then something embarrasing.

I'll be riding solo unfortunately with Mrs Padmei looking after the lil angels.

As for embarassing, I'm thinking of making up a rack to carry my new Nomad MTB- I might bring a prototype along to show you

Don't waste time trying to put pics in here - Post them in avrider NZ forum & copy the link. It's easier to view.

I will get better as i like taking photos, just need to make a bracket or something to shoot the odd movie whilst riding.
