Haven’t seen the other topic, sorry!
The public reaction was impressive everybody posting there hate it!
Anywho is worth opening your eyes with something else then the dentist’s stock bike and the OCC “choppers”. For a change have a look here
    http://churchofchoppers.blogspot.com...20and%20Flynch)
‘Choppers were never meant to be long and useless…they were meant to be urban assault vehicles. Short, tight, light, and right. Getaway machines. Evasion, speed, performance…these were part of the formula for building a great chopper.

At what point in history did returning a vintage Harley back to stock and treating it like a fragile sculpture become the norm?

When did people stop seeing them as a solid platform for a urban assault vehicle? ‘
Luckily the HD designers are aware of the new trends in bike building and customising bikes this days and not having just the penis enlarger image in their head.
I don’t say that’s the way, I just say that’s a cool response in customising bikes in response to their purpose and the environment are built for (in this case Japanese city streets or quite all crowded big towns)
Saying that, I hardly wait to buy an Iron for my wife so I can ride it trough the town!
I forgot how things are here… ‘ I hate everything that is not between my legs or just half an inch to my bum’ . Twin cam hates Sportys and everybody else hates Harleys.
‘Love is in the air …lalla lalal lalaaaaaaaaaaa…’

    Ahhh, Mister Basics I presume?

You've been a long time coming. (Get your mind out of the gutter and focus on the bikes, ok?)

Yes, the word "chopper" had a bit of a grey start didn't it? Chopped, bobbed? Hmmm, the beginnings were so close to each other yet the modern machines are so far away from each other it hurts. I like both but too much bling and the 'real' (read; scruffy, greasy,t-shirt and jeans-type) biker vanishes over the horizon in a latte`-laden sunset. I see so many, too many, shiny machines in the course of my life/work, that to come across something that is painted with aerosols, welded with gas and spitting flames out the straight pipes is truly a rarity. It still gives me a hard-on though and thank the heavens that they ARE still out there; just few and far between.

Fuck it, HD whoring out trends created in the shed into their line of bikes doesn't strike me as impressive. Its imitation, Its following the crowd not leading it. And its watering down something cool to sell to pretenders.

They take something created by bikers, mass produce a soft corporate safe version of it to sell to the soft headed fools who suck up their marketing.

Whoever made that advert needs to be shot.

Real bikers will say "fuck the nanny state"

    and

Yes they can, it's called 'The Rocker'. I've aired my views on this machine elsewhere on this site.

And, see my comments eleswhere on 'The Rocker'. I call it corporate suckup, like the original Superglide. Old Willie went to see what "those chopper guys" were up to, and hey presto! Instant corporate clone.

Yeah - I find the Iron very aesthetically pleasing - if it goes anything like a smaller version of the XL1200 it would be a very tidy machine for a compact person. Male or female.

It looks like how i usually like Harleys to look, low and blacked out, minminal
    chrome to polish,keep clean..

Pity theres such a jump in prices from a sporty to a Dyna....

    too true,
theres just isn't another 10k worth of steel or performance to really justify the price difference is there......
