I showed this to my mum, and she's seriously considering it. looks nice and low and easy to get on with a broken pelvis.
Pity they're not out in NZ.

She's been having a ball riding with me while her car is in the panel beaters. And she has her full bike license because her old scooter license from uni got converted to a bike license a long time back.

My lil sister thinks mum should go for it.

Why? You ride offroad all the time. Doing fork seals is a big PITA.

Brand Manager #1: Let’s identify a demo with high cultural capital.
    Brand Manager #2: Do elaborate.
Brand Manager #1: I got it; we’ll create a narrative around the real man--the garage builder.
Brand Manager #2: Yes; yes! We’ll follow a day in his life.
Brand Manager #1: Agreed. He’ll have to have a hot girlfriend.
    Brand Manager #2: Check!
Brand Manager #1: And we’ll add a gritty effect to the film
Brand Manager #2: But wait a minute. Our buyers a checkbook riders. They don’t actually build anything.
Brand Manager #1: I know right? We’ll sell them the idea that they are just like our character.
Brand Manager #2: Perfect! Write a check; buy a lifestyle.
Brand Manager #1: …and our formula is perpetuated.

Wouldn't be surprised if a mass market XLCR "replica" is in the wings.

    Ads are amusing.

Well everyone seems to have their opinion huh?

I am firmly in the "Dam thats sexy" camp and am seriously gonna look at one for my next bike... unfortunately I have to wait for them to arrive sometime in late August / early September this year.

The only problem is that being one of the gullible, advertorial affected middle aged white males that I am... I might have to look at buying all the HD clothing and accessories.

umm... it was a dig at people who think that if you buy brand named stuff (which on this site seems to mean "HD" stuff) then you must be a gullible, advertorial affected, middle aged white male... because it seems that you couldnt possibly just really like the product and what it stands for.

I must be having a subtle post day today...

What does it stand for?, seriously, You think an over priced jacket with a Harley emblem on it stands for something? You think a brand of bike takes some sort of stance? It means about as much as a can of beans, and those beans don't get more "meaning" if they are have a billion dollar marketing campaign behind them, A Bean club for Bean owners, clothes to wear while eating those beans and a price tag at least double their nearest competitor.

Anyhow, I just dropped $300 on a pair of HD boots, They don't stand for anything, Just a damn fine pair of boots, and I bought them in spite of the Harley rubbish plastered all over them not because they stand for anything...well apart from crass marketing and the power of hyperbole.
