ATM the forecast is not too bad:

But it is only Tuesday, on Friday night I will check the forecast for Saturday & Sunday. I will pike if the weather is going to be horrid for the weekend, but I will not be put off by a wee shower in Auckland on Saturday morning - neither me nor my bike will melt if we get wet.

I can't find a dog sitter for Saturday night so really keen to come as far as I can on the Saturday if that is okay with everyone.

just give him to the neighbours or leave him food and tie him up outside. If it works in europe, it should work in NZ

Well if it is raining on friday then I'll be buying a pair of waterproof pants that arvo, never done a big ride in the rain so it will add to the day I guess, but then I ordered fine weather so no more need to talk about it raining.
