Okay, here's the deal (help needed which bike)

OK about 2 weeks ago out riding in tokoroa not far from the hospital thank god, i had another heart attack ,luckily doc at tok a&e new what to do, and administered a clot busting drug before i was rushed to waikato ccu intensive care ....ok now thats all over im on the mend..now have asked my docs about wether the bike caused it but they say probably not, but i had expisodes of angina before but only when i ride my bike and onlt when racing on a mx type track ,My son tim 24 rides my bike and after about 10 minutes of hard riding hes stuffed .. yeah i know, im an old fart and shouldnt be riding a heavy but fast yz 426 .. but i love the power ..so heres the question .. and before ya say give up riding ..ummmm ..NO.. so what bike do ya suggest for about $3500 im 5.10 and 112kg and losing fast..something fast ,light easy start.

Fark me, sorry tah hear but glad tah hear you're on the mend. Thought you wuz being quiet now i'ze know why. Big bike andrenaline too much for yah yer old fart!

I'm having fun on the KX125, and at only 87kg (same weight as me) it's a fun bike to throw around. But you have to ride it hard and fast to get the power and thrills..and I haven't quite got the hang of that yet. I miss the torqueyness of the 4 stroke and am thinking of putting a weight on the flywheel to see if it helps for trail riding. But you're probably thinking a light weight 250 to cope with your incredible size ay.

You don't need a flywheel weight, just learn how to ride it........

Sorry to here about your mis-fortunes....

As for a bike I also have a KX125 which is great to throw around, nice and light. The down side, like most MX bikes is you have to ride them aggresively to get the best results. This means that you tire quickly, untill you get used to it. Depending on your riding type maybe a newer 250 (4 stroke mx type) or even something like a KDX which is 2 stroke, light and agile, just not the best shocks...

Most will depend on the type of riding you do.

thanks for the kind words ...i think ..lol
The 2 stroke's are lighter than the 4's but the 4's have more low end torque. Saying that the newer 250 f's are a lot lighter than the older traditinoal 4 strokes

    Im confused

are you saying that (you think) the heavy bike caused the hard attack cause you have to work so hard on it?

Man that sux about the heart attack but good to hear you're doing ok.
Would say go with a 2t 250 mxer if you want power and the lighter weight for that price. kdx 101kg, 02 kx250 97kg

    2004 model on wards 250 2 stroke.

SUZUKI RM250 or KWACKA KX250 04 models onwards have big meaty torque spreads and are both around 95 kg.

Someone of OUR size has to work far to hard on a 125 2 stroke and the power and maintenance of a 250F just doesnt do it for me.
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

enigma ..nah the heart attack was caused by coronary heart disease but the weight and effort to lug a heavy bike around just is abit much for my stuffed ticker

get a 250 2t, max power, minimum weight.

you will find a 250F or a 125 too gutless. im lighter than you, (not by much lol) and i find riding 250f's hard work due tothe fact that i have to ring the shit out of it to even make it move

Thanks BOOOOM thats what i need to know having not riden a 250f before..if it wasnt for the fact that im limited by $$$ id probably buy a newer 450 cause they are pretty light, but at the mo it looks like maybe a 200 or 250 ..2 stroke, thats fine my sons one has a fww and that makes it easier to ride down low
