I get your point but how many times have you/we ridden a different bike and perhaps made a slight error of judgement because it's not what we are used to...I know I certainly have (riding a RocketIII a lot faster than normal because it was so damned smooth). Whats gets me a bit riled is the grief that BB has received here for a slight error in judgement...so it might have been better if she didnt tell the whole story but if you read threads throughout this website, its all about the wheelie I did or getting my knee down on the road or whatever.

The point of her thread was to outline how much riding that particular Buell was to her not to glorify hitting wing mirrors, riding like a hoon or white trash but as I said, let the holier than thou people here have their little bleat if it makes them happy....
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow

    TOO TRUE Hailwood

    - from memory the title says it all, this thread is actually about how surprising the Buell XB9 is in power & torque ( comparing it to a 1200cc. )

NOW..... before you other peoples say anything negative.....If you havn't ridden a Buell Yet ( 900 or 1200 ) - you truely have no basis for comment about the specific subject matter .......and therefore am mearily blowing an opinion or trying to stir up a hornets nest about another topic.
    If thats your objective.......

but I visit this site less and less and now hardly at all - because I too am sick of all the put-downs & negative comments.

What do you think of her actions, that have been highlighted, then ?

    :
slight error in judgement. Clipping every wingmirror on the onramp is hardly a slight error in judgement. Scaring the shit out of joe public after the first couple of hardly slight.

I have ridden a heap of different bikes. First thing I do is take it out to a twisty country road and see how I like it. Not muppet round on a motorway scaring the locals.

Wheelies dont cause damage to others property.

But like I said before. Shes probably got nice tits so plenty on here who may or may not want to get laid so they cant possibly be seen to be telling her she is being inappropriate.

    Naughty Biker Chick

Its amazing as soon as bikers say Buell or Harley, that all the careful Japanese bike riders get their knickers in a twist about it, and instantly get holier than thou. I've ridden Japanese, Italians and now have a Buell xb12r, and to all you guys that go on about testrides, go do it. I jumped off a zzr1100, which was twice as fast, but the Buell is 10 times more fun, and it does bring out the Buelligan to a certain extent, hopefully when constable plod isn't watching or around.
Far out a few of you dudes need chill pills, what a bunch of self righteous tossers, I'll bet none of you have ever done anything illegal at all, you all stick to exactly 100 km/h and never overtake on yellow lines etc.
Something I've noticed out there riding, when you ride Jappers most people wave bar the harley riders, riding Italian most wave, now I ride a Buell, I still do the same, wave to everybody, and hardly anyone on Jappers wave back, (neither do the Harley boys still). My point is everyone is too Fuckin uptight, and needs to get the fuck over themselves.
Give the chick a break, she was only posting a yarn, no-one got hurt, no major damage, at least she was honest, unlike some of the other b/s you read on here.

On that basis, I have formed the opinion that your a complete arrogant prat by calling someone you dont know (who I am quite sure I know much better than you) white trash - a MOST insulting term to use on a lady!

If you had met me in person, instead of the insult here, I would have slapped you.

    Fini 2 u.

Oh, as for the rest of you, take the chill pill I posted earlier, get OVER your period and try and read her original post a little more light heartedly next time. As others have mentioned, people in glass houses shouldnt through stones, none of us are perfect riders and that also includes verbal slappings, we all give and receive.

BB, its a shame you sharing your experience has brought out the prats, but at least we still love you!

REMEMBER we are here to have FUN people, not to criticize the shyte out of everything !!!
Get ye smiles back on ye faces.

EDIT: arrogant prat was amended from a multitude of swear words of what I was really thinking

You can shove your chill pills up your backsides... if you run into my vehicle and don't even stop to check for damage or apologise, then you're just another little wanker that deserves something nasty to happen to you.

If you can't grasp the concept of 'You don't touch other peoples stuff' then you're just another loser that fails at life. It may or may not have occurred to you that people feel about their cars as we feel about their bikes... it's bad manners to even lean upon somebodies car, let alone hit it with your motorcycle. If that's not making sense in your brain, then don't breed... the last thing we need in this country is more disrespectful muppets.

People hit wing mirrors, it happens but it's a by product of lane splitting at times; but only arseholes manage to clip every wing mirror in a line of traffic, and only a special sort or arsehole posts it up on a web forum in a 'light hearted' manner as Burtha would have you believe.

So basically, don't fucking split if you can't do it without hitting other peoples vehicles. People post about cagers being dicks when they're trying to split, well given that so many of the buell-lovers-anonymous think it's ok to hit their cars as they split, I'm not bloody surprised. Closing up the gap today, opening a door on you tomorrow... it'd be no less than some deserve.

She's getting grief for riding like a hoon while not exercising due attention to her surroundings - and then bragging about it online, and rightfully so.

Wheelies, knee down, etc. that all comes down to time and place - there is no time and place for fucking around with other people's stuff. Would you be impressed if some twat in a car, lorry, on a bike or whatever clipped your wing mirrors while you were cruising along? No? Are you sure? I mean you just might think that the surprise would be an awesome experience which would make you hold the operator, and their compatriots, in high esteem, right?

Also, Tony W never called her white trash, he said she was engaging in white trash behaviour, which is correct. There is a subtle difference you know.
If I'm smoking P or shagging my step-sister it doesn't matter what my background is or whether I wear a collared shirt to work - that is white trash behaviour. Learn to read for crying out loud, illiteracy is a white trash trait.

At least she seemed to enjoy the bike, which is good.

    ditto

This thread isnt under rant and rave, it was posted as a bike review, but because of all the rudeness and criticism, we wont be getting anymore feedback on this particular topic, when I know that BB has had another ride and probably more to share since, but she is now staring clear of this thread.

PS: direct or not, referring to someone as white trash is inexcusable, I would check your own attitude first before criticizing others, oh, but thats right, you guys have forgotten your manners.
    Enough.

LOOK! Let me be quite clear...I NEVER set out to deliberately damage anyones property and I certainly was NOT boasting about my oopsy.
Note to self: think carefully before posting anything on KB where I might admit to a f**kup...

My post that started all this crap was actually about what a fun/ballsy bike the XB9 is to ride and because it was honest and heartfelt (well it was from my point of view) I admitted to a wee stuffup regarding the extra width of the bars due to the hand guards.

I CLIPPED not SMASHED those wing mirrors...in my book a clip is a light tap, its not deliberate smashing carnage as some people seem to have interpreted it. And to be honest (again) I’m sure the drivers would probably not even have realised it happened...the loudness of the bike is a bit of an attention getter, I’m pretty sure thats where the focus would have been.

Oh yes and thats another thing I was accused of...deliberately scaring people with the bad noisy bike. The bike is loud, thats just the way it is. I was riding it again last weekend ...following a mate who has drag pipes on his bike. When I’m on my X1 I can hear his bike clearly, not so when riding the XB beast. When we stopped my mate turned to me and said “all I could hear was that Buell! Jeez it BARKS!”

And to further clarify : IF I had really CONNECTED with anything in the way that you lot seem to think I did then YES! I would have bloody well stopped to check for damage.

Contrary to the belief that I think I’m better than anyone else or that I reckon I’m above the law or that I’m white trash I’m actually a pretty considerate motorcyclist...ask anyone who knows me or has ever ridden with me. I travel that motorway every day and my view is that I am probably traveling with some of the same motorists every day so I actually make a point of not deliberately pissing anyone off.

Know me before you label me.

Fark is this bitch fighting still going on....
    she said he said.............

    I haven't ridden a XB9, but throughly enjoyed the two Uly's i've ridden.
The 9's are more rev'y from what i've read, and only 11hp down on big brother 12.
