Opononi for lunch (Fri 27 Mar)

I have no work tomorrow, Mom has no work tomorrow so I am putting a few $$'s in the tank and heading to Opononi for lunch.
    The forecast is WOW!
The pace will be cruisey, we have all day....
    Come back via Kaikohe/Twin Bridges

Anyone else got the day off tomorrow?

    Leaving Warkworth at 9.30am....

Lived 10 years in Dargaville Maha - used to ride up there myself. Loved that Twin Bridges bit - we had a plot up in Kohukohu and always went up the centre to get there.
Have you ridden Te Ahu Ahu Rd through Waimate North? Usta love that one as well...

    Is that east of Kaikohe?
The forrest should be in great condition, weathers been mint up this way for weeks. There is one corner on Twin bridges that always gets me comimg back down, its a crest and turns sharp right, had me in the pebbles once, control was massive even if I do say so myself...

Would be a hell early start for you to get to Warkworth for 9am indeed. Travel safe mate. So no one else keen on a meander through the forest tomorrow?

Runs East from SH1 to SH10. Bit north of Kaikohe. Goes through to Paihia if you follow it to the end. But the good bit is Between 1 and 10...
