I must say, it is hard to make judgement when the orginal poster has run away. Perhaps on second thoughts they weren't being quite so lethal to the world as he first thought.

Dipshit - You don't believe that making yourself visible is a safe option? Or you don't believe that they were making themselves visible? Because that it what you are arguing

Katman - Yes, if they were directly side by side and swerving right to edges of their lane it could be a dumb thing to do. They obviously thought that they had the skill level and who are we to say whether they did or not? They obviously survived the whole ordeal.

Thanks for proving that even though you may own a motorbike... you can still be as dumb as fuck.

Mate you're certainly one to throw insults from afar aren't ya? Grow some hairy balls and tell me why I managed to prove that wonderful statement? Or can't you reach the toys you just threw outta the cot?

Swerving can be done with about 2m of width, pretty sure our lanes are a tad wider than that. Was Newby riding beside them so that he could judge how 'side by side' they were? If he was behind them they could've easily been 10m away from each other. Guess we'll never know.

Mate. Haven't you notice that every single inconvenient point you have raised so far he has either ignored or just called "bullshit" because he'd actually have to deviate from his party-line to answer them, and in doing so realise the arrogance/ignorance of his position?

The only "point" I can see that he's attempted to raise so far is that supposedly by weaving from side to side across the lane you make yourself more noticeable.

If a car driver sees a motorcyclist weaving from one side of their lane to the other do you think they're likely to say (a) "Phew, lucky that bike's weaving like that otherwise I wouldn't have seen him" or (b) "Look at that fucking clown - no wonder they have accidents all the time".

As Jafa just said, I seem to be getting a lot more name-calling and non-statements than decent argument material.

Maybe Newby will return to enlighten us with some actual details of why he can go online and make the public's perception of two bikers negative.

Next time I spot a VL250 around Drury I'll be sure to follow it until they do anything remotely human-like, pull them over, kick their bike over, and remove their license, cause they may endanger our looking-glass self!

    Night!

Look mate, I know that down in your hick town these "multi-lane road" contraptions are just a wild dream, and people ride bikes that are fitted with non-knobbly tyres whilst wearing gear other than stubbies and gumboots, but just because of that, there is no reason to assume that every biker in the country is stuck down at your level.

Two people, aware of each other, riding at/under the limit both speed and alcohol-wise, in their own separate lanes, is not a big deal. No matter how much you might love to pretend it is.

Fuck this, I'm going to ride my trackbike down the wrong side of the highway in rush hour tomorrow. While balancing on the front wheel.

Solely to give you something justifiable to wank on about.

I haven't been trying to make points as such, that was actually a light-hearted comment, you wouldn't understand. I've just been trying to get some reasoning as to why people can come out all guns blazing without even giving decent reasons as to why.

I'd think that some drivers will think it's cool, some will think it's dumb, some will add it to their biker stereotype, and most won't give 2 seconds thought.

Having been in a car twice now that I can recall when seeing a biker weaving in their lane, I can assure you that the average cager either will not notice in the slightest, or they will say "What is he doing?" and then lean down to change radio station.

As much as people - particularly motorcyclists - love to think the world revolves around them, and every person just watches them constantly as they ride by - this is not the case. People don't notice Range Rovers just because they're Range Rovers. Same with motorbikes. They're just more background in their quest to get from A to B.

    Just a side note...

Newby your biography says that you like drinking. I hope you're not giving us people in our twenties a bad image by doing anything remotely "immature" when under the influence! Alcohol has killed many more people than bikers riding legally have. You bastard!

Na actually, we should meet up over a beer after a mint ride out our ways, keen? I promise no swerving!

    Seriously...
