    Wanganui - Feilding - Kimbolton - Cheltenham - Ohingaiti - Marton - Wanganui

A group of bikes (two Harley Softails, a Yamaha 1100 and a Suzuki 1000) had a great blast around this loop today. Some really great bike riding country and excellent views! Probably one of the last ride before the obligatory cold weather gear has to be used.

Absolutely so what loop to Wangas did you take? And did you head through Feilding (by BP) just before 10:00.

Not if the weather continues like today. Could be good till the end of May.

Yep, That was us. Great weather at Feilding. Hit some light headwinds on the straights towards Kimbolton - bloody long straights. Reminded me of Central Otago. Nice to get into the Rangitikei twisties. Passead a swag of tourers coming the opposite way. Waves galore from all bikes - Harleys included. All in all a relaxing way to spend a Sunday morning. You should have tagged on!

Some of the southern North Island's best cruising roads there, for sure!

    Well done!

Yesterday I was on my way to Wellington, I rode the Vinegar Hill road to Fielding. Nice road! Has some nice corners and nice long fast straights (ahem!). That lookout near the beginning (Stormy Point?) has got a great panoramic view! Never been on that road before and it was a really enjoyable ride thru nice country. Good to get off SH1!
