That sheep road is quite good, lotsa good side tracks .Central road is great for practicing hillclimbs and warrants more exploring.

am gonna try and get further up from that trig station next time, but the gorse does get pretty thick.
Some of the hills got a bit steep, and I had to bail as reverse speed was getting scary.
Playin with putting pics on here so indulge me.

    Time for a rest

    Nice bashplate aye

Scary beastie lurking in the scrub

Track is a bit overgromn and steepish
Geez Woody, that is some serious going there mate, was there really a track under that gorse? Looks vicious!

    bashplate looks good tho!

I still think you are way ahead of me in the race to destroy a perfectly good bike!
    Cheers, Dave

Thinking in the depths of winter when we are not so keen on riding? Either a day event, home by dinner time, or afternoon evening, finishing up with a meal at a pub??

    Expressions of interest, please!

Not sure about the whole beer tour jobby, but always keen to end a days riding with a crafty brew.

Is anyone interested in a quick spin tomorrow night? My $2 tires need a good-ol thrashing

Thats a good pic looking back down the steep climb.

Whaever possessed you to carry on past the trig? Had some boils that needed lancing? Nice bashguard BTW though you could have just crouched under the bike while it was on the stand to photo it - nice lighting though...
well since my handguards got destroyed at the laidback, there will be no more gorse bashing till I get new ones.

And I scored a 6" crescent and a 2 finger cable operated brake lever.

    How about a competition?
See if I can build a bike from found bits before you destroy one

And I'm not allowed to build a KLR

A little competition to spur you ever closer to the demise of the KLR and the arrival of a KTM - cunning, very cunning indeed!

Although it doesn't actually appear like you need any encouragement!

Last year there was an XR200 forks, swingarm, rear wheel, airbox up the Maungatapu.
An FXR150 frame, bent forks, tank up Old Coach Road.
The burnt out scooter up Big River...

    I need a trailer.......

jeez , reckon if we all chipped in we could weld something together that may even work, failing that an entry in the wearable arts show.

    title could be Moto-re-cycle.
