both my kids adore bikes - it's always a standing wave when I leave home for a ride. My (then) 18 month old son was able to climb onto my DR-Z in the shed more than once, turn the key, flick the kill switch and press the magic button to start it up. He loves bikes - walks around the house with my old helmet on. I've been 2-upping my older boy since he was 5, almost 8 now and has his own pegs on the back of the XRV... thinks he's the dogs bollix. good man-time, teaching them to be hard little bastards rather than little X-box mincers as they grow up.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
