It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
Unless the law has changed, you have 28 days to rego or wof a vehicle and the police have the ability, if they so choose, to let you off. Don't try that with a local council, if you get ticketed you have to pay the fine no matter what.
I'm really hard done by, I haven't got any real reason to whine.

So just curious.
Did you take the bus today - or did you risk it again on the bike ???
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Its like the thread that dosn't end. It goes on and on my friend..........

"No matter what bike you ride. It's all the same wind in your face"
Well, I was hoping it would degenerate into a cop bashing thread, haven't seen a good one of those lately. Don't say I didn't try tho. (There's still time..........)
Ya know, when I was a teenager, all puffed up and bullet-proof, I too thought I was above the law. I stuck my neck out, exceeded the speed limit regularly, operated vehicles with no (or dubious) paperwork etc, got into a power of pooh on occasion and look at me now!!
All reformed and respectful of the law.![]()
im so glad your teen has a better head on his shoulders. i really could not ever see him getting in this situation once, never mind twice! when does he come home again?
as for metalor, why cant you see that buying a bigger bike will NOT solve your problems? instead, it will only make them bigger and harder to pay off. i mentioned in another thread that i had a 500. as much as i loved the bike, and the extra power, i knew i couldnt afford the fines if i got caught on it, so i sold it.
i was also very close to selling my 250 over xmas due to lack of funds to pay rego and wof. instead, i made things happen and got a temp night job. in the long run, i was keener to sell the bike than rack up fines for riding illegally. why not put your studies on hold and work for a year, saving your money?
