Aparently thats her goal ! But unfortunately she wants to be at the pointy end in times, before she jumps in a grid !


Scary aye when it was only weeks ago we were keeping her reeled in !
Give it to them, they are investing the coin in doing each and every track day/training day there is !
Be interesting to watch when everything starts to gel for her and they trick up the CBR (or another one the way she's bashing that one up)

Mmm, used to be that you learnt how to race on a slow bike - apparently a superbike is ok if you're prepared to average 2 crashes a day I guess!

Just wanted to add my thanks to CDMTCI for the Track Day.

I was the mobile chicane in the race class, but it seemed that was the only class I was allowed to ride in give the status of my bike. But still, I enjoyed my time out there, learned some new things, have many other things still to master, and now have to look at the budget to see what is possible money wise. I think investing in time and effort on the track is probably more worthwhile on this stage than development of the bike.

Track time is the investment for sure mate !
Track day on the 11th at manfield is a good one to attend if you can get the day off !
Wasn't riding on sunday and cant say i saw you out there, so couldn't comment on what group you should have been riding in ! But did see a few race bikes in the slow med and fast groups !

I know one person had a race 150 and asked if they could ride in the novice class and I was told by a committee member this was fine. Tell me more about the 'status' of your bike. Just because it's a race bike it doesn't mean you have to ride in the race class. As pointed out to me, some people buy an old race bike to use as a track bike (no worrying about indicators, lights, etc and - I think - no rego either) but it doesn't mean they are racers and need to be in the race class. Were you told that was the only class you could ride in or did you just sign up for that as it was a race bike?

Sounds like you had fun though anyway, which is the main focus of the day!

yes i was one in the medium class, on the purple harley. sorry for holding the rest of you up. even at the sign in , thats what a guy said as I came from the scurtienering! I had fun and looking at a buell for racing now.

Mine is clearly not a road bike as it has race-glass on it, not lights, mirrors, rego or wof, it's not considered road-worthy for the other classes. I'm certainly not complaining about it, and in the race-class is where I would have preferred to be. It's the best session to be in to pick-up on lines etc. All is good from my perspective. Thanks

I dunno, had she not been a princess, I would have been tempted to stick her on the grass the third time her and her mate on the 1098 parked their bikes in front of me in the middle of a corner.

Trackday...very good but too many bikes. Whilst I understand the concerns for not pre-booking, perhaps they should take full bookings and have a stricter limit on numbers. Those wot have paid in advance get guaranteed a spot, but get feck all refund if they don't turn up. Started a bit too late and finished a bit early.

Bhahhaha...and Clivoris' new bike owner is way faster on it than Clive was.

Sorry, but regardless of what you ride and whether your bike is road legal is irrelevant. If you had wanted to go in the fast or medium sessions we would have let you. The race session is called that because the majority of riders are those who do race and want to go like the clappers. In future, if you think the race class is too fast for you, try the fast - as mentioned previously, we will allow one change during the day.

Just because it's a race bike doesn't mean you are relegated to the race class, so do speak up next time if you'd rather try something a tad slower!

The race class was not 'too' fast for me, it just took me a while to get used to the track again, and to riding a 600 on it. And to be honest, I don't think going from race to fast would have solved anything... it would probably have made it worse.

I repeat... I'm happy with it. Relax.

That's okay, didn't take your comments to mean you were complaining, just thought you may have been under the impression you were restricted to the race class when we would have been happy for you to be in whatever class you wanted, as long as you rode at the appropriate speed!

Well said that Man!
There needs to be a penalty for riders who crash in the first two laps. Lets call it an "inconveniencing others fine". Engage brain before throttle please.

I have always maintained that people who crash in slow moving peak hour commuter traffic should get double penalties, for pissing off so many people trying to get to work on time. How inconsiderate can you get?
