I've had a shit load more riders on Jap bikes not nod or wave to me when I've been on my recently aquired HD (which I've only done about 3000 miles on to date), than I had HD riders not nodding or waving to me in years and many, many, thousands of km's of riding Jap bikes myself.
Not that I give a rat's arse, it is merely an observation, and I'll continue to nod to other riders regardless of what part of the world their bike comes from.
What I give more of a rat's arse about has been the several occasions I've been cruising along quite happily in excess of the speed limit myself and have been passed like I've been standing still, and within inches, by fucktards with reckless disregard for their own or anybody elses safety.... and guess what they were riding.
Not that a couple of occurences would cause me to generalise and state something idiotic about all sport bike riders, and although their riding was incredibly stupid, I got over it. In fact in one instance I found it almost amusing that as soon as the fucktard came up to a twisty bit of road he almost binned it in front of me.
And no I wouldn't wish that on anybody, the fact he almost binned made it funny.
The riders you had such a big problem with were either...
1) Gang members who have tried to knock you off if they were in a cage so think yourself lucky and get over it, or
2) So surprised that somebody on a Jap bike waved out to them that the second rider got flustered and forgot to change from his usual straight back at ya one fingered salute to a friendly wave and is still regretting it now, and he probably would like you to get over it, or
3) Were sick and tired of being "buzzed" by fucktards on race-bred bikes who need to prove their bike does the squillion kph everybody who hasn't been hiding under a rock for fifty years knows it is capable of anyway, maybe this wasn't your fault, whatever, get over it, or
4) Honestly thought you were giving them the finger because their visions were blurring at that bastard rev range that I understand exists in nearly every HD motor at some point on the tacho where the bike feels like it is going to fall to bits before everything smooths out again, so, HD motors vibrate at certain revs, if you can't handle that then be happy you don't own one, and get over it, or,
5) Arseholes having a bad day, or hangovers, or both, who will probably get over it, and you should too.
