Everyone gets really upset when recieving red rep because they subconciously think of it as a challenge.

I got a red one for posting in the wrong forum, once. Innocent mistake, but I only cried for a little while, then I cheered up 'cause I've got lots and lots of green rep...!

Im told I'm banned until early next month, but I'm still here. This new sin bin is not as comfortable as the old one... I feel blessed, I have 8 Infractions points and I'm straight there, cool, I'm not sure if I want to know what happens if I get 16. No worries, I did ask for this one, have apologised to those involved prior to the sin binning. Shit happens, get over it, I know I have

When we were kids and we were in the shit, Mom made us read out loud two little plaques either side of the coal range mantelpiece.

The one on the left said:

"When two quarrel, both are in the wrong!"

After reading that out loud she beat the shit out of us with a wooden spoon!

Then we had to stand and read the other one which said:

"Cheer up the best is yet to come!"

What that actually meant was, if you don't behave yourselves you will do it all again when your father comes home.

We didn't volunteer for stage two too often, I can tell you.

So consider your selves having just read the plaques

I couldn't give a flying fuck whether I get green, red or no rep....but what pisses me off is that when some spineless twat reps you AND leaves a gay as remark....and you can't see who did that so as to be able to 'respond' to them....well....Pah!

I understood when I first 'joined in'....you could see who repped you after so many posts etc. Has this changed?

No, it's not changed. It is a combo of X days and Y number of posts. I can't remember the figures, but its about 200 posts and 4 months or so. You've got enough posts, just have to wait out the time.

That's all part and parcel of the KB experience duuuude! Most respectable senior members know this and leave their initials after their comment so you'll know it was them. The ones who leave no name and a nasty comment are...well...nasty!

A most interesting phemonenom I witnessed on KB was that for the first few years no-one bothered using the rep system, then it just started up abruptly it seemed. I've watched the rep system grow from its beginnings and have followed the different members green (& red) "status" through the community, at first there were about 30 odd people whose green rep was rapidly soaring ahead, you could've sworn they had made a pact and were repping only themselves?? Then as many more members achieved a 'respectable' status, of course by participating (which is the key to the KB experience!) and being awarded for their posts...but it all turns to 'online bullpucky' when you meet the different members who you've been conversing with for months & years, that's for sure!
