We got burgled tonight! (19 September)

When someting like this happened to us a few years ago, the scene of crime officer told us to make visible changes to our security. Perhaps fit some window stays on the windows and patio bolts on ranchsliders.

see the poor litle buggers are going to get ANOTHER 10mil spent on them to "help" them out of the life of crime...

Little ass "youths" with a drug habit to support was my best guess..

Absolute shits who caused us a huge amount of inconvenince, expense and upset..

For what it's worth the cops never caught anyone, gave us a form for insurance and filed the case away...

My wife and kids were home, I was at my Mum's. About 8.15pm they/he jimmied open one of the bedroom windows, then went thru the stuff in our bedroom. Took our most valuable watches, and rings, left credit cards and the spare keys to the gixxer!! Left before anyone noticed, which is probably just as well... least nobody hurt

Burglary squad won't be here for a couple of days....guess they're too busy catching speeding bikers...

Never had this happen before so we're a bit upset....

Sounds like kids... taking the easy stuff only.

Burg squad doesn't catch speeders of any sort... they go to burgs... Duh...

Yours is another on the "To do" list, which is big in those parts...along with all the others, one of the many...

Don't touch things that they may have touched so hopefully prints can be lifted.

Had shorts on Maori tv , oh sorry Police Ten 7 tonight of cops charging a guy for chasing a crim out of his house with an axe!

Got to love the cops not doing their job in the first place and then charging the vigilantes!

Funny how minds are made up on the spot from a 5 second advert...

Betcha there was no problem about chasing the guy from the house with an axe. Even if that was the whole story, even a failed legal aid lawyer would get him off...

OK finn called for POlice assistance when they discovered little shits messing their shit up, suprise suprise no units available, so someone chased them off and smashed up their car, criminal Mum comes and see the car rings the cops wh come straight away to have a go at the people who smashed up the car........good to see teh police are really certain of who their customers are, would hate to see a criminal having a tough time.

Could of used that example.

Good catch and well sorted FINN. No cops available at that time, were available at the time the woman complained I'm guessing...

I am also guessing she didn't tell the cops about her son tagging at the time of her complaint... if so, she would have been shown the door.

I would be disappointed if anything happens about the car. Verbal Warning at most, letter of appreciation even better....
