I'd love to publish some of it.

To that end I have been trying to contact Noreen Heggarty for over a month - I'd like to ask for some data for Kiwi Rider - I have a mobile no - but it just has a 'not available' recording.

Anybody else do Media Liason for Traffic?

Sorry but I've been shutting up for ages and couldn't hold it in any more.

(edit) I've calmed down a bit now - maybe that's not what you intend to mean but it's how it sounded to me - I'd find it a bit more refreshing if the police posted as themselves with their own opinions rather than always posting the official position as seems to be the case and if they didn't brag about "waving a Glock" at some P head. C'mon - you don't catch me talking about Advertising all day do you?
Now-now McJim, you wouldn't want to give the nay-sayers MORE ammo by having cops say "Sorry love, woulda been here about 20 minutes earlier but I couldn't find a park that wasn't on the grass/on a yellow line/near an intersection etc etc" would you??

In the lawful execution of their duty police can park their vehicles anywhere they need to.

Part of the definition of "road" in the land transport act says "anywhere that the public has access to whether by right or not". Driveways, vehicle access lanes, gravel pits etc are all roads under the act.

They are serving you, the public, through the enforcement of the road rules.

Did you ever consider the possibility that what the site cops post could be their own opinions based on their experiences?

Pretty much all the talk of police use of firearms has been as a result of site cops correcting misleading, ill-informed bullshit posts on that subject, I don't recall ever reading a site cop boasting about waving a glock at anybody, (we might joke about it but we aren't unique in doing that on this site). I've only ever had to aim a firearm at one person and I hope like hell that I never have to do it again.

Yep, I guess you could write to police national headquarters and request a copy of the traffic charge precedent book under the official information act and see what happens.
