Star Insurance uses Green Associates in Auckland and Waikato, who have 25 years experience in assessing and most dealers will say they do the job well, and GAB Robbins everywhere else

I have asked them to use a different assessor before and they told me no problems as the guy had a good reputation.

Would like to know what other problems you have, and if you would like a quote PM me.

If you really were an Insurance Broker, you wouldn't use Star for every bike.

I REALLY am a broker, and I use Star everytime because of the good experiences I have had myself, and for my clients.

Their premiums usually come out cheaper, or sometimes magically become cheaper after talking to them.

Use who you want Oscar, but I'm happy to continue using Star due to the policy and service they provide.

Can any other insurer give you a way of getting a zero excess on theft claims?

So you're saying that Star is the only agency you have?

ok guys .. lets put this to the test ...

i have a 92 Yamaha FJ1200ABS with some 'minor' performance mods.. bike is fitted with Data Dots.. residence is Mt. Roskill an the bike is in a Carport with a big fuckoff lock.., insured value is $7500

i have no tickets ( even camera) and one claim 3 years ago..perfect record since then ( got taken out at a light with both feet down and somehow it was MY fault ..

i am with Protecta right now and i am paying $850 a year with a 60% NCB and $500 excess across the board ( yes i sold the policy to myself when i worked at the bike shop..).. my policy is up for renewal soon..

no pm's please .. lets do this right here..

i AM into Customer Service and value for $$.... and i understand how insurance works ..

So oscar sorry to poke my head between two people in the industry but which brand do you recommend classic cover or others. Just a querry I was a classic client but when I read my policy it said there was a 2K part excess I don't know what the parts on the KTM are like but I could not handle that jandle.

    That's why I'm with Star

I need to get Data Dots where do I go?????????????????
