I'm all for them, i watched some chat show a few weeks back, eye2eye i think, some show based on maori concerns blah blah blah, anyway, this one cock did his home work and said that since they were introduced in the states some years ago 200 people have died from them, and he said it was a bad thing? he didn't say how many millions they were used on but thats the way the hippies play their stats,

another guys was against them cause he said they would be used mainly on maori's and islanders? my answer to both arguments is dont do the crime and you wont be tazered to the ground shaking in a puddle of your own piss.

I don't usually need to commit a crime or be tazered.

    Inebriation is usually enough.

Why do the police in New Zealand use small tuned percussion instruments to shoot people? Why don't they use a gun? - would save wear and tear on Glockenspiels.....that's probably the root of all the problems. Kiddies in kindie have no musical instruments coz the police are out using them to aprehend criminals...kiddies get unhappy and grow up to design P labs...the whole vicious cycle is exposed.

Usual shit by goody-two shoes - they forgot to mention the US Tazers are a whole world away from what NZ has, they are way more powerful for a start.

And if you died as a result of Tazer use? Then I guess ya picked a bad day to become a Tazer target.

If I ever have kids I'll be kitting them out with their own homemade Tasers. Its non lethal in most cases so whats the problem.

I wonder how long before people start carrying them? It is after all, NOT a deadly weapon, and since the effects have been declared to be non-hazardous and not worth worrying about, any assault charge could be argued to be of the most technical nature. Akin to striking someone with a feather.

So, what would happen if I, Jo Householder, found a burglar in my house. And pulled a Taser from under my bed and tasered said burglar ?
