Why do the police in New Zealand use small tuned percussion instruments to shoot people? I wonder how long before people start carrying them? It is after all, NOT a deadly weapon, and since the effects have been declared to be non-hazardous and not worth worrying about, any assault charge could be argued to be of the most technical nature. Akin to striking someone with a feather.

So, what would happen if I, Jo Householder, found a burglar in my house. And pulled a Taser from under my bed and tasered said burglar ?
