I'm with you on that one too.

Dunno what you're on about with that "right to say no" crap tho, did some fat bird have her way with you recently?

The attitude I find lacking in NZ is the "here to help" attitude.

Usually you get the "my mind is on lunch attitude, who the fuck are you, a what? what's a customer?" or the "I must sell you everything in the store, including the shirt off my back, and you're not leaving until I bankrupt you" attitude.

    No its a sales thing.
All Sales is about negating the no's.
Women just have more deal breakers than men do.
    Fact.

So if I am having a hectic day and pop in to a shop that is close to my client in my corporate atire, I am in the wrong?? I have the money, I wanted to buy the Hornet blah blah blah, but I was not in bike gear... how silly of me to expect service.

No disrespect as you have helped a friend of mine in the past... but if a giant like yourself who happended to have spent over $40K at a shop walked in of course you will be noticed and get the service - you wont be missed. So your perception will be different to mine and Riff Raffs and some others I suspect.

You have nailed it my son.

as Ive said before, I went to considerable trouble and extra expense to buy my present bike from a dealer 50 miles away because the local dealership are wankers. I vowed nearly 20 years ago to never give them my money, and when I was in a position not to, I did. Customers are like elephants: they remember bad service long time. Oh yes.

No, but you may need to be a little more realistic in your expectations if your mode of dress is not coducive to riding a bike.

By the same token, given my size and gender I expect I would find it a little harder to by lingerie.

I have come to accept it, and my life pillion has come to accept that I don't buy it for her very often, if I did then I went to a lot of effort.

Take the comments I made earlier re the purchase of the 'Busa.
If the sarge had opened to you the way he opened to me he would probably get slapped.

Men relate to other men easier.

Quick poll of the men readers - does anyone here think they understand women?

I detest that mentality.. Dress for the occasion! FUCK YOU I say.

I vowed never to succumb to that way of thinking, my parents use to tell me.. Get ya haircut, brush ya hair, and wear a tie. Look smart.

NAH! You either like it like this or fuck you, I say. And when it comes to going shopping. If the sales assistant ( call 'em what ever you will.. but the fact of the matter is, they're working, they've got holes in there arses and they NEED the $ ) chooses to write you off because of your attire, then more fool them,, MUPPETS.

Take the money else where, tell as many people as you can of your experience and bid them good luck feeding there kids

ps.. Joni.. what colour bike did you buy

    We are far simpler.

We think our IQ goes up but it doesn't.
People only ever doubt us when we are telling the truth.
if we talk about our feelings we are just telling you what we think you want to hear.

We are arrogant (some of us pretend not to be).
We are sexist (some of us pretend not to be).
Emotionaly we stopped growing at 10years old.

There you go, everything you ever needed to know about men.
Now, can you try and explain a woman?

    Get a grip.
Would you wear boardies to apply for a position on the board of a conservative company?
Would you wear nylon to weld?
Would you wear a suit and tie to beach?
So why is it a bad Idea to take your helmet and leave the miniskirt behind when visiting a bike shop?

If I were working a bike shop and a miniskirt wanted to take a 600 for a ride I would see law suit waiting to happen. I would still try to make the sale, but not at the expense of a better prospect.
Hot girl in motorcycle leather with helmet (or wants to negotiate these into the sale) turns up she will have my undivided attention until she makes a decision.
