    Yep,

Not to sure if we should wait to be honest, but 3 people = $60 .. which would put us at 490...

Got off the phone with Darryl, he has prommised me a bank account number today, if i don't have it by this afternoon, i'll call him again ... ha ha.

Hes gonna get sick of me soon.

So yeah, i want to put the cash in tomorrow morning, so if you want to help out, today is your last day.

And we have a current pledge total of $330 .. so we are doing pretty well

Even if we can't get all the cash needed to fix this kids bike, every little bit helps
Count me in for $20 too. My parent's first house (and therefore mine) was at the north end of Karaka St in Castlecliff. I don't remember it being a "rough" neighbourhood, but as kids we were the same as everyone else, brown or white then.

We took living on the beach with fantastic views for granted, something I realise now we're in the mighty Waikato....

    Follow up Story

    OK ..

Just gotten off the phone with Belinda who the lovely Woman that bought this to press.

Shes interested in doing a follow up story, once the bike is fixed, so it's probably about a week or two away.

If anyone down there (wanganui) is interested in getting in touch with her, maybe sorting out a bike run with local KB'ers and being involved with the photo op, you can get in touch with her on the following.

    Belinda Feek
    Wanganui Chronicle
    06 349 0710
    extn 7850

Not only is this a good story for the Kid and family in question, but it's a great oppurtunity to get your bike in the paper .. LOL .. just make sure its nice and shiny.. ha ha.

I'll be giving the Dad a call today and bringing him up to speed, so i'll be sure to keep you all updated.

So we're $60 short on the pledges (let's assume they come in).
Once that $60 is here we're 107.24 short after all pledges are in?

    .bump... hint hint...

OK - I can assure you that we will make the total....

Come on folks - just $2 if thats all you can afford lets DO IT.

Honestly, just make a little donation like $2 or $5 and it will make a huge difference to the total and to this kids life.

Come on guys - I tell you what - any new pledges and I'll go without drinking for a week and MATCH your pledge $ for $ OK??? (up to the amount required)

    Paul N

ps - Vicki and I are prepared to scoot up there and photograph the happy lad.

Good to see it is coming together .. A moot point but something that seems to be across the board here in NZ.

The same parts from the US

    Number board $30.13
    Shroud x2 $56.56
    Rear number boardsx2 $59.86
    total $262.97

    It's the thought that counts.

There is always the possibility the Honda/NZ full retail price was quoted by mistake given the good PR that will no doubt be available if this was to get into print.

(massive mark ups by the various NZ motorcyle/parts importers is standard)

.... and a small boy waits........
