Yeah, perhaps it was "illegal" speeds where the lack of fairing may be a problem, but I never tried that to see if it was an issue,...honest, Officer..

Sounds like you have a sharp bike there, good one.

BTW the new bike shop in Dunedin (MotorCycle Replacements, Crawford Street) had one for sale on Saturday when they opened their doors, it was red and that's all I know about it.

The Rosso Mandello one isn't too different from the one I'm keen on anyway.

Wouldn't worry about reliability issues, friends who have them who have had recalls done and recalls not done all done 50k plus and no problems. There can't be that many V11s in NZ that needed the recalls done anyway, they are a bike for the real people (Passionate about Guzzies and don't change bikes just because a new colour has come out) I don't think many recall needing models would have been sold anyway, huge numbers are not sold in NZ. The new blingy bling models may change that. They're a bike with character thats for sure.

Nudemetalz rode it Sat...and it failed to start for him at one stage....turns out the sidestand switch was missing the bolt from the side stand to activate it properly, and the wire was also being pinched on full lock. Nothing major, all sorted!
