    Scorpygirl on the road...kind of!!

Crashe arrived at just before 9.30 am, soaked to the skin from a typical Auckland shower. I was wondering what the weather was going to do but the shower passed and the sun came out. So I got my bike gear on and we got the Virago out. Rhino was sent packing in the car to do whatever he wanted to do.

I am not a natural born rider and Crashe and I had to start from scratch after so long. It took me awhile to get out of the driveway but soon I was on the road and up into second gear and then into third and nearly fourth. Up and down the road we went. Crashe gave me pointers at every stop point. We practiced U-turns, three point turns and weaving. I am going to have to master the Charlie Chaplain look!!!

After an hour I was knackered so we called it a day. We had just put the bike away when Rhino turned up to say that Colapop was coming into town from the North Shore and was keen to meet up. That is another story!!

I have lots to practice over the next few days. However our driveway and turning bay lends itself to practice three point turns and hill starts.

Thanks Crashe for being such a patient mentor. I hope it was not too stressful for you. I look forward to the next lesson and being able to venture further.

I understand Crashe and I were spotted by another Kber at the top of the road. Crikey can’t get away with anything!!

Once you get big enough - you'll be able to ride a real sized bike....
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Hope to meet up with you soon Julie and have a few rides together. I am going to do a ride right/ride safe course in the New Year to help me gain some more skills.

    Cool

That was McD that spotted us.....
Colopop and I ran into him after I was sent out to collect the young fella near the local cop shop...
Well we stopped off at Mt Eden bikes for a chain adjustment..... and they lubed it for him as well. For FREE.

Yep there is another story with Colopop later on today......

Im the first in line of the injuries that he is subjecting us Aucklanders too.
Yep I have a ice pack on the injury.
Yep It did HURT...... still aches.

Scorpygirl - You did very well........
Keep up the practise and next lesson is on Thursday.
