    A$holes touching parked bikes

Has this ever happened to you,

Mrs Insanity and myself decided to partake in a nice afternoon ride to the zoo last weekend. After a nice walk around we went to collect the bike to go home and bugger me if the seat didn't have the remnants of melted ice cream on it, sticky childrens hand prints on the tank and moved mirrors sugesting that some six toed mouth breather had parked one of their spawn of satan on it (the hand print position could have only have been done seated by a hand that small).

I mean really unless its picking up a fallen bike why on earth would you touch someone elses ride like that? People really don't respect other peoples shit.

Yeh, I'll usually offer if a kids looking at it, but if I'm not around then that ain't on. It's the same as leaning against someone elses car having a smoke or something.

Rude eh. It's a total lack of respect. A few years ago I had a brand new $1000 mountain bike, and a workmate took it for a ride without asking. Locked it up after that. Also had a 50cc scooter and came outside and someone with a 'real motorbike' had moved it so they could park their bike in the spot I was in (shaded and out of risk of rain). Then at another work place I stopped parking my cage near the back door as the smokers would rest their coffee cups on the roof!

People, I swear, leave a lot to be desired sometimes. At least your joyriders could have wiped their sticky handprints off eh. Sigh.

it pisses me off no end. Last year I was working at Foodstuffs in PN and the bike parking was where everyone went to have a ciggy at smoko. One morning I came out and a jerkoff was sitting on my bike having a smoke. i hit the roof and got clouted for being "unreasonable". Fucktards.

lol I get the feeling I'm one of few on here whos bike gets left alone by the people I work with.

But then, they know how vulnerable thier cars are if they fuck with my bike.

Yeh, nobody at work touches my bike, but they hear it coming and going... I'm always getting little emails with trademe links... "what do you think of this?".

It's a positive thing I think, and especially working in the CBD, the cost of parking alone is driving lot of people into biking.

yea I know how that is. Our forklift driver is looking at a BMW and the factory manager is talking about getting some little punter to save on gas. Most of the others at my work are boy racers though so they realy don't have respect for vehicles other thier own and my bike.

Ask them not to first time, tell them not to second time, third time they find they only have one spare, assuming they havn't taken it out to 'save wieght', and yet four tyres.
