What makes me laugh is that sign is in NZ, near the top of the Bombay's. Wonder if Transit and the Local Authority in that area will be asked to remove it??
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I agree with MDU and McJim in that any education is worthwhile but I doubt that many of us have the inclination (we all have the time, judging by the amount of posting here) to maintain that type of thread.

We all (well most of us) get sick of the repetitious waving threads so how will we cope with responding to inane questions about motorcyclists behaviour?

I make an effort to ride courteously, wave a kids and talk to anyone that has an interest in motorcycling, but I DON'T have time for drivers that try and give me a hard time. I would not tend to respond to critical questions in a thread here.

I suspect, that as we thrive on flaming and a good fight, that many responses to car drivers questions would end in tears, is this really worth pursuing?

If anyone wants to defend motorcyclists I would suggest you do it on snapt rather than here.

If you even try and "defend" motorcyclists or their behaviour your post WILL be deleted. Snapt is not the forum to discuss education of any sort. It is run by people who want you to behave just like them.

Given what we just did to them, do you blame them?

They have expressed an interest in having discourse (Ohhh second big word for today), give it to them on their site.

Err, pardon? I responded to a question about filtering and my reply was deleted. I merely said it was legal to pass stationary traffic.

They don;t want to hear facts, they want the world changed to their own particular world view, of which motorcycles are not part.

Why cant they get thier heads out of their asses and realise that there's no point in incouraging us to post on their forums or put one on here, if they aren't going to LISTEN!!!!!!!

Personally I don't see too much point in them doing a biker section of the forum... They are pretty closed minded about everything that varies from thier own opinions.

They ban/block bikers because they don't agree with opinions, and yet they leave "350" (whoever the fuck that wankstain is) on the site with his post intact after he openenly stated that he would deliberatley block bikers paths while they split, which as we all know is dangerous and could very easily cause life long injurie as well as death.

By leaving his post on there after deleting others posts shows that they (the admin/mods of that site) CONDONE or AGREE with him. This is unacceptable and downright disgusting given the cause of the site in the first place.

Not only that, but they obviously give drivers yet ANOTHER distraction to stop them from seeing us in the first place because they're too busy playing with thier fucking phones and trying to catch other people breaking the law... just fucking stupid.

I put my 2c on the lane splitting forum and that'll be the last I go on there.
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

If thats true then you have a point, I tend to agree with you that it's a waste of time but....if someone wants to try and respond to their questions let them do it there not here.

Invite them to join up here and see how a REAL forum is run then - they can voice their opinions and not get deleted. And what the hell is wrong with posting a PM on a thread. If someone wants to have a go at someone they should be prepared to do it out in the open not creep about in the background cloaked in anonymity.

I still think it would be good to have discussion somewhere with the motoring public and let them understand our perspective. Many of us drive or have driven cars so we are well aware of their perspective.

It would just seem that Snapt is perhaps not the appropriate place.
