Hey hXc, 'tart and MSTRS - glad to hear Zac is OK and that y'all are holding together there.

I think you'd better return that cursed monkey foot to the mysterious old chinaman now...

Or better yet, hide it in that chick's car!
Me and my imaginary friend have been goin' round the bend for some time now....

Bugger. Oh well, she is probably on a car drivers forum where they all bitch and moan that motorbikes are the work of the devil and everytime they have a crash it is the motorbikers fault.

WTF is wrong with all these people (including too many bloody kiwi bikers) not taking responsibilty for damage they cause! Fuck me, if you run up the back of someone then get your wallet out!

Glad to hear you ok mate, unfortunately chicks dig scars, not back pain. Better get that one sorted.

I'm ok, which is the main thing. Nothing to be too wound up about, I couldn't of done anything to stop it happening. My back is a bit grazed and a little sore, and I have the formings of a bruise or two on my leg. Nothing serious though, which is good.

Bike is another story. But it can be replaced. Coyote has expressed interest in the bike if it is a write-off, but I don't know what to get next. I can't exactly not have a bike, I would die! I would lose all my freedom and everything. It's another year until I can get my full and I'm a law abiding citizen, so not exactly gunna go ride a 900 although I would love to.

Hmmm...what to do, what to do.
Shit mate, sorry to hear of the accident but glad to hear you are okay.

Well as a few of you said, the calmness is dying and the angry about my bike is kicking in. The crash doesn't really bother me much, it's the fact that I've lost my bike, my freedom etc that bothers me. People who know me know how much I love(d) that bike; it may not have been in the greatest condition, or clean all the time but it was my baby.

Unfortunately, the logic is flowing into my brain. I'm leaning towards getting a cheap car to replace the bike. It's more logical for a drummer to have just a car, than just a bike. And with going places, needing to take things or walk around all day, it's easier with a car as I don't have to carry helmet etc etc. It is worth it for the fun, but can be an inconvenience.

This has not put me off bikes. I repeat, this has not put me off bikes. But I may just have to take a break from owning a bike for a while. This isn't to say I won't be riding...but I won't be owning a bike. Unfortunately, it's part of the long-term damage to having some bitch rear-end me.

That's a bugger Zac, but a car for carrying drums around is a darn fine idea.

(you've always got Mum's bike if the desire gets too strong)

There's nothing wrong with the bike, it's just that it's yours mate, so that makes it inherently uncool.

Never said there was anything wrong with it, but I don't like it.

    Glad you are ok hXc!!!

Edit: checked first post. Within 100m of a school.

Nah we're in Hawkes Bay. We have normal speed limits past schools here.

Do people never listen?! The speed limit has not changed, only the tolerance has.

Why is it naughty? 50kmh is the speed limit, you can legally do that.
