Rode a Cagiva when I had my TL and found it to be a little more user friendly than the TL and as for the motor ...... f..kin' awesome!

The city sucks! The hills around here are pretty good but you get tired of it eventually. A bit like doing the Oparara Block a few too many times. At least it's all sealed nowadays, not mostly gravel like it was not so long ago. But the Karamea Bluff, now there's a road to be savoured! My comments about your being of a "funny lot"...I'm quite qualified to judge cos I'm one of that "funny lot" myself. Born and bred...now a one-eyed cantab but still got the webbed feet and immune to sandflies:-) BTW I like your taste in bikes my friend!

My dad has a vraptor. He is moving over here. when i told him part supply might be a bit dodgy he just went and brought a second one for parts! Needless to say he loves them.
The real mystery is how come that fat bastard Hurley has never lost any weight.

heres the story the Raptor is a "brand new old model" the model change was in 05 so this bike has sat around somewhere for a few years it could be as old as 2000 that doesnt worry me to much as long as its cheap enough and its $12000 i dont know how much a 07 model is but the big problem is that as soon as its got 1 km on it ist a low k older bike not a low k one year old bike ...whats it worth ....fucked if i know.....i need a more upright riding position as i have had carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists and to much pressure on my wrists/hands gets a bit uncomfortable.

Offer em $10 and go from there............if uncomfortable real easy to put higher bars on............if you can get it between 10 and 12 its gotta be a good buy for a new bike, you can buy an SV for not much more but everybody else has one........go for it.

Mate you either want a V-twin or you dont..........as great a bike as the bandit is i find them as exciting as a wet flannel.......for me the raptor sounds like a sweet deal.........but then i just love V-twins......got a mate with a bandit which he loves but everytime he gets pissed he rabbits on about how sweet the TLs sounds as it goes past..........dont be to bothered about the age.......in the latest bike trader theres a couple of 2003 SVs for $500 cheaper than a 97 and 99 TLS....................
