Another reason (other than the ones Fizzer has offered) they're so tricky is you don't have the gyroscopic balance from the front wheel.
Just like when you get any bike up on balance point for long enough for the front wheel to stop spinning.......the bike starts to 'weave' ever so slightly from side to side. A tad unsettling at over 200 clicks on a big road bike!

True dat, I find it happens sp..sper...speradi, fuck it, with no consistancy, sometimes it'll hand there at 170 smooth a silk, other times ya have to stand up on the pegs to get enough body movement goin on to control it. Whadup with that?

I think they are, because you can give the bike a bounce before ya tug, get some help from the springs like. And when it's up, you've got more steering control, because you can move your wieght further.

Those little bikes don't have the strength at the front to handle too many hard landings...

Is this what his "lunch box' looks like?

Only thing I've seen cooked in your house was bacon sandwiches . I'd come up for a drink (need one)!

His lunchbox does look kinda like a wheelie bin, but it has one of these stickers on the side.
