I don't think you'll ever make an England teacher with speiling and grandma like that.

What he said! We are neglecting trade training in NZ. I shudder to think how much we will be paying in a few years for some services, because there simply will be more work than people to do it. Having said that 2 of my kids are undertaking a tertiary qualification at the moment. It is the "thing" to do these days.

No disrespect intended, but do you realise just how whiney, spoilt and adolescent this sounds?

You have choices [lucky you - many people don't] - you've asked for advice and been given it [quite politely most of the time, too]

no-one can complain we are an uncaring bunch but this now going around in circles [with macarbe diversions by dover and finn] and is becoming irritating ................

time to either piss or get off the pot.

oh - and good luck with it, whatever you decide

Read the first post in the thread, not all the others.
So maybe this has been said before, but not gonna read through four pages of whatever:

Take a while off, go trapping, it's a great outdoorsy lifestyle.
Make sure you can come back to your course though, after a year or whatever.
Life is about enjoying it, don't feel you need to stay at uni cos you are expected to by whoever.

I should I put this on, I already have the job, 3 years experiance in the civil/geo technical engineering field, so I can get a job as I actually know a little about things.

I've never ever had problems getting work at all - I seem to have a talent for getting a job, (got all my mates jobs as well).

Now on a slightly differant note, what do cad operators get when they start out? The type who can draw shit up from calcs, not just tracers.

    Cheers

Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Get a semi full time jonb while you study, you will find that once you are used to the hours, it aint so bad. Work 30-35 hours a week and there is plety of time to do a diploma/degree, I did and it meant that I could have coin while studying and also gathering work experience. GET THE STUDY OUT OF THE WAY!

You know, it's funny. I know a dude exactly like this, up north. He's not particularly 'raving', as such, more 'generally sluggish'. Occasionally 'spaced out'.

But he owns the land around his hut free and clear, and he seems quite happy with life. A lot happier than many I know who've spent two or three decades chasing their tails in modern society.

Just remember, you can't take it with you when you go...
