    Superbikes ... grand-daughter's introduction

I decided that at 18 weeks old, Gaby was old enough to enjoy the Superbikes with me today. It took a wee bit of explaining about race strategy and tyre wear but she got it by the middle of the 2nd race. She demonstrated her understanding by squealing happily and waving her arms about as we watched the race for third place which our man Haga just managed to take out.
I guess she'll be demanding to go to Ruapuna next. (This is a responsibility I am prepared to accept)

Well at 15000km before replacement for my tyres I'll admit I wasn't really speaking from a huge knowledge base and I did just repeat what the commentators said ... (but Gaby doesn't know the difference)

I hope attention was paid to the sprtsmanship of racing as well? The raised hand to apologise, whilst in the midst of a race, seems to be a decent gesture.

Well it's not so much 'top shelf' as it is 'draught from the left or right keg'
