Nice to see you Morcs - now get the fuck off the computer, don't read anything and get time off work. Post-concussion syndrome can make you bed ridden for 3 months, and that is from my personal experience of going back to work too soon after a concussion.

ACC will cover you so you'll get 80% of your wages and your employer doesn't have to stump anything up for you being off work.

Get the fuck off the computer, don't read, and don't watch telly. Just chill and think about how cool it will be to go for a ride when you're better, or fantasise about scoring with some twins, or something. Just don't engage eyes and brain too much.

    Yes, Kittyhawk is a legend.

As DD says, it just doesn't matter, it is only a job. If you leave, no one remembers you the day after you've gone, because the work still needs to be done and you're not there doing it. No one is indispensable.

Your long term health is vastly more important and "work" is at the bottom of the list of things that you can justifiably risk your health for.

IMHO it's you and good mates, like Kitty, who should take priority over work and the boss. Not just in your case - in general. Ask yourself if your boss has any right to your health. I don't fucking think so. Hence do YOURSELF a favour and stay at home dude.

So, what would have happened had you been more seriously injured and been admitted to the Hospital ?

Has a doctor signed you off as fit to return to work? If not you should not be there. Moreover, you are doing your employer no favours by doing so, since you expose them to quite serious charges under Health and safety andACC legislation.

Im more concerned with the insurance side of things - something that cannot wait.

    Heres the state of play:

Dutch backpacker lady (has 3rd party insurance) runs me off the road. She is denying responsibility and not putting in a claim. She claims she is going back to holland on monday.

Backpackers motor insurance refused to chase up there client, suggesting i do it.

Police and witness prove im not at fault.

I had a long conversation with Dave at Kiwibike (what a legend) and he suggested i do a VIR check on the vehicle, i checked it and the dutch woman sold her car today (was hoping she was lending it, then i could claim off the owner).

I cant get hold of the dutch woman, the police, or the insurance company.

Im buggered and im sure it wont be long before i go on the rampage with a 308 to resolve the situation diplomatically...

Try talking to the cops, whether they are considering charges. PM Scumdog, or someone. Ask the cops, whether they are willing to just let her go as she is obviously not fronting up. Might be complte bollocks, but that's what I'd try.

She shouldnt be allowed to leave the country in my opinion. She just sold her car so she can give me the proceeds from that. Then fuck off back to Holland.

Do you have the address of the Dutch woman?

If you do... go to her address and demand some answers.

Talk to cops, they should be able to advise you on what to do re insurance/dutch woman.

You need to do this before monday, which makes things tricky but not impossible...

ring EVERYONE involved and make sure that they all know exactly what the situation is. - to cover your arse.

I agree with Hans, I'm sure there are laws against leaving the country with charges pending

    Good point.

Maybe if the cops hear that she is trying to skip the country, they will make it happen

Well ive been trying to find out all these things - but i cant get hold of anyone, and ive tried many times today already.

The only address i and the police have for the dutch woman (who was quite hot if i remember correctly) is her address in Holland. I mean, what farking use is that?
