Ok, I'll check this thread again in the morning but 10:30 at the haywards carpark for the meeting place sounds good to me.
Cheers
where are you planning on going? And where is this carpark? Is it the one at the bottom of the Haywards right by SH2?

Have a great day Richard. Big frost here in the Rapa - very chilly but going to be a lovely day

I thought it would freeze here in the Nui too but no such luck. Just cold and foggy.
Once the sun breaks through the fog here it should be an awesome day.
Anyone have any ideas on a destination?

well - who would have ever thought it would be so cold in the Rapa. Left home to a reasonable day. struck ice on the top of the Takas. Hands numb to the bone by the time i got to Haywards. Back over again with the rest of the team, ice and grit gone,
Very eerie ride round western lake in thick fog. The fire at the Ferry never felt so good. My fingers are still numb, and I heard the sun still shining in welly!!!

+1 Really good (if very cold) ride.
Sorry I didn't join you all for lunch - I got worried about my fuel level and decided to double back to martinborough (didn't realise that the cafe was only a couple of more corners away - doh!).

Sure was a cold day and I was hoping that you were all keeping warm out there.
Took the car out of the garage this morning, loaded it up in the driveway. After 2 minutes of being on the road i couldn't see a thing and was driving blind... managed to find somewhere to pull over and discovered my whole windscreen had completely frozen over. Wow - never seen it frezze over a I drive, that was something new.
Pleased a group of you got out for a ride and made it home safely again. I was missing not being out there.
Soo... next weekend, isn't there racing at Manfield on Saturday? I so, I think I might take a full day and go up and watch.

I think Ive got time off for good behaviour next weekend tho, so hoping to sneak out if the weather gods feel like obliging.
Quick headsup to you lot that I havent contacted. I'm celebrating the finalisation of the battle over my hubbys estate. Yaaaaay! Should you wish to come and help me out with partying on 21st August, can you pm me please? There is a dressup theme, we will all chip in and bring food, byo drinks.PLenty of off street parking on concrete for bikes, space on the floor ( a few beds ) for overstayers... Partners and kids welcome.

Gonna head up to foxton for a surprise visit to one of the boys in their new shop. They aint too busy at the moment (who gets into an ice cream hot dog shop in winter ?) so we gonna stop for a dog just before lunch, then on through the manawatu somewhere the nose takes us and back through to sparkies bar and then maybe an icecream at Robs before heading back to the clubrooms for a couple of bevies or coffee !
So if ya see a bunch of bikes parked outside a milk bar in main st foxton, yep it's us milkbar cowboys on a sundae sunday ride !

Not sure if he was a member but a V Max rider, Mike Thomas from Raumati, died last weekend from complications after a recent motorcycle accident. His funeral is tomorrow 11:30 am, Saturday, at the funeral home just over the railway line in Paraparaumu. They are then taking him to the crematorium in Waikanae and his widow wanted some form of escort for him, sort of Buzz him off.

And just to cap off a lovely day...
Got home to find the sealed papers from Court in my mail box! Yippee!
For those who have missed it, ive been fighting since the day after my Husbands funeral last year to keep our home. His family have supported his adult sons in having me removed from the home and forcing the sale so they can have his money. Well guess what? Do NOT fuck wiv Ratti, Im nice until you get me cornered.
Ahem, anyway. I get to keep our home, buy them out for a very small % of the value of the property. But it's doable.
Anyway, come party to celebrate wiv your ol' mate Ratti. 21st August, pm me for details.
Cheers!
I'm really chuffed for you faith. I know how difficult probate can be from when my dad died recently, it must be ten fold when you have arse holes contesting you every step of the way.

Hey now that was a fun ride everyone - thanks for a great day out, great roads (mostly), great friends, good laughs as always and lovely weather. My bike was feeling all over the place, like a bucking bronko, but I still had a blast none the less.
A few snaps.. actually forgot to take some at the other locations.

yes. I don't know if the brakelight of the Buell was defective or just so covered in dust that it wasn't visible,
but I didn't see him brake and the distance between us reduced more rapidly than I expected. close call..
on the way back I lost focus. During cornering in an S-curve I looked in my mirror to see if Ben was still there, and the 2nd halve of the corner snuck up on me.
Got caught in the ditch and landed with the bike sideways. brake pedal got bend, some scratches and cracks in plastic pieces..
seems like I just can't keep the bike in one piece...

Sorry to hear that Neshi - hope you made it home ok from there? Was that on the way to the Gladdy? I got worried about you two when i realised you weren't behind us anymore.
And about the mini - it nearly got us all, no exceptions there. I was just thankful to AJ for being a true gentlemen and leaving me that awesome gap to shoot through. Cheers for the kind thought mate, bloody good call!

Glad you're alright mate. Sounds like you guys had an interesting trip back from Castlepoint.
That was a nice ride out there. Sorry for taking off on the way back Ratti, I felt the urge :)
I finally got introduced to my reserve tank when I ran out of gas just before Palmerston North.
Had a nice look around ANZA Motorcycles, it was a beautiful sight, all those Triumphs and Harleys. I really wished I was on one of them as I had my throttle fully open just to keep up with traffic!

good to see that you learnt 3 things on the weekend...
one... NEVER look in your mirrors during a corner
two... make sure you have room to panic stop
three... always look ahead
the mini in the middle of the road not moving , should have given you a warning that i may have been slowing... oh, there is nothing wrong with the tail light.. it works.
but hey.. you have learnt important things.. well done!!!!:Punk::Punk:

Why not I say, then I can actually show what it can do and some one may want it afterwards. I dunno why people hesitate with the deal I want for it, There's someone interested in it but he has been for over a month now. I think the guy before him was scared of the bike, he done the old "Yeah mate keen as" showed him the bike and what it could do and I never heard back since. For crying out loud it only go's as fast as you ride it....
