Actually, revise that: Lots of Dollars minus R1150GS, minus DR650, plus ????, MINUS the good wife. Nah - probably not a happening thing....

Better get that new car for her soon Stephen...

Bet in hindsight you wished you hadn't taken a ride...It just makes you lust after them. After all, you can't miss what you haven't tasted yet (mixing metaphors)

    Steve.
Steve's entirely right - I'm dammed fortunate to have good health two bikes - friends I can ride with and a supportive wife - but yeah it's nice to dream - whilst Steve's assessment of the equation is about right IMO - I'd be worried about breaking the F800GS if I dropped it - whereas that same concern is not there with the workhorse DR. Better late than never

Question - What happens when you have the flu but go on a three day adventure ride anyway.
Answer You get pnumonia and spend the next 5 days in bed.
( Eddieb `s fault for talking me into that 2nd lap of fishers track in the pouring rain ).

So now that im back in the land of the living, thanks to everyone for coming along and a BIG thanks to Nooles for doing the thankless job of being tail end charlie. I was probably a bit ambitous with the distance on the Saturday but i guess finishing in the dark made it more of an adventure.

I dont have any photo`s from saturday but a here is some from the Friday and Sunday.

    1. Start of the Matahiwi track.
    2. Top of the Matahiwi.
    3. Aslan on the Matahiwi

Wicked photo's, You did say you'd find something to be my fault though no arm twisting was required if I recall, the thought of an old BMW going somewhere you weren't going to was enough.

PM will be sent about getting full resolution copies of some of those.
